A-League Round 5 and it's Unite Round all matches in both Men and Women to be played in Sydney this weekend. Might be difficult to get around through for the trains drivers are on strike in Sydney. In any case a few tasty matches to appetite us. First Up Friday night its the F3 Derby at Allianz Stadium between Newcastle United V Central Coast Mariners can the Champions get their first win of the season in a derby? Then Saturday night we have the second Sydney Derby of the season (yes I know it is only round 5!) between Sydney FC V Western Sydney Wanderers this one could get feisty both on and off the pitch. Than On Sunday top of the table Melbourne Victory will be up against Wellington Phoenix the Nix will be out for revenge after last seasons semi Finals lost. Who's going up to Sydney for Unite round? Hopefully it will be better organised and attended then last seasons.

Having the derby as part of UNITE round seems idiotic from a marketing & promotions perspective. What are you promoting?

Although I guess that would rely on the A-Leagues doing some marketing and promotion.

Gotta say...the standard of play in all games by all teams is a LOT better than it was last season. Last season there were a lot of "peak a-league" moments and games, with very poor first touches, general dribbling and speed/creativity/vision of passing. But this season has been impressive.

Great match. I've had the telly on A-League all day, 8 hours of football and a tonne of furniture moved.
Same. I was on and off last season, but this season ive been avidly watching every game, following hard, and its becoming one of it not THE most enjoyable football league in Aus to follow (vs AFL, NRL, Union).

Fun game tonight. I dunno what we're doing wrong... In fact I dunno that we're doing much at all.

But 30k for a Sydney derby, when supposedly you're also have to have neutrals in town for U-Nite round? That's friggen dismal man.

It's like we've just gone back to expecting that the presence of some former stars will all of a sudden attract the Eurosnobs who've spent 20 years bashing the A-League.

Something is wrong at the Wanderers with the team they 've assembled they should be doing way better. Is it the coach? The culture at the club? They've gone through a few coaches now and its pretty much always been the some results every season something doesn't feel right at that club and hasn't for a long time.

I think its both, not the right coaches chosen since poppa, stajic and rudan are probbaly the worst of there choices
