The best band to ever come out of Australia.
Your favorite song?
Favorite Album?
And also anything else you would like to say about the great band.

Were once one of the greatest bands to walk the planet. Up to and including Back in Black (ie the Bon years, and the album he wrote most of, and which was dedicated to his memory) they were everything that is good in Heavy Rock n Roll: loud, abrasive, cocky, fun, well written and played. Their intensity sent shivers down your spine.
Since, apart from the odd moment here and there, they have become a ridiculous, 'run on auto pilot', make sh*tloads of money off a name joke, regurgitating the same uninspired crap over and over and over again. They have tarnished their greatness in the last 20+ years, IMO. Sad.....

Yeah I agree with you Roddy.
My favorite song would have to be Hells Bells and favorite album definetly Back in Black.
As good as they are they have one bad song which is Big Balls, as much as it makes me laugh when i hear it it is a shocker.

A prime example of what I mean.

Favourite songs: Back in Black, Highway to Hell, Riff Raff.

My favourite band of all time, love Angus. Favourite album is Highway to Hell which incidentally is also my favourite song. Never were any good after Back In Black although I did enjoy Razors Edge as an album. I have countless Bon and Angus posters and 3 shirts. Angus IMO was just behind Iommi in all time great riff creators and a great soloist also. Not the most musically talented band lol but just love em, Bon could never be replaced but Brian Johnson was a good selection. Of all the drummers they had IMO their best and my favourite was Slade.

Favourite songs of theirs, Highway to Hell, Back In Black, Jailbreak, For Those About to Rock (can't go past cannons) and many many more.

Agree with every word.

Album - A toss up between TNT, Dirty Deeds, Let There Be Rock, Highway To Hell.

Songs - Whole Lotta Rosie, Dirty Deeds, Girl's Got Rhythm, The Jack, Long Way To The Top, Let There Be Rock, Livewire etc etc etc.

Yeah, Roddy is completely right. Like taking Cliff Burton out of Metallica, taking Bon Scott of AC/DC drained the band of what made them great.

As for the question- favourtie albums would be Back in Black and DDDDC, and favourite songs would be Back In Black, You Shook Me All Night Long, Jailbreak and Big Gun.

Used to watch live at donnington over and over and over again as a kid, faark yeah loved dirty deeds album and back in black is one of the greatest albums ever. fun and easy to play as well, having said all this sick to death of em basically

Funny how most of you say that they were crap after Bon died yet the album you pick as their best features Brian Johnson. Interesting.

When I was a kid i thought this one was pretty good.

And this one was freaking awesome.

Actually people said they were crap after BIB came out which is totally correct bar a few good songs here and there.

You weren't a fan of

I always thought that album was pretty good.
Can't say i have played any AC/DC for quiet some time but after reading this thread well i might pull out some of the old vinyls and give them a spin.;)

I remember buying that when it first coming out and being pretty disappointed. That's pretty easy after BIB though. Whilst not bad, and not near as bad as what was to follow (blow up your video anyone?) I still wouldn't buy it or put it in my CD player.

They are one of the all time great bands. Many people don't like their stuff after Back In Black but I do. The Razors Edge was the album that really got me into them (Thunderstruck, Money Talks & Fire Your Guns being the standouts).

My favourite songs are Jailbreak, Back In Black, Thunderstruck & Hells Bells. One I've been thrashing a bit lately though is Meltdown from the Stiff Upper Lip album. I love that song.

I recommend anyone who is a fan to get the Family Jewels DVD. It is a great DVD.

I can't wait for the new album to come out.

Every album after Back in Black was mostly poor overall. There were a few good songs here on there, probably the most of which were on Razors Edge (which isn't a classic like some make it out to be; it's OK). Stiff Upper Lip, Who Made Who and Thunderstruck are some of their better later songs.

Hard to go past Back in Black, all 10 songs were sensational.

Malcolm Young writes most of the riffs but Angus does help out a lot, and to the contuary the Young brothers are probably the most talented guitarists in Rock N Roll for the past 30 years.

Whether people think they are relevant or not today you can never take away that they are still in the industry and (if you see them live) still at the top of their game. You cannot produce at least 10 killer albums and sell out every tour since about 1979 and not be brilliant musicians.

I just hope they bring the new album and tour here in 07 and we can again witness the greatest Rock N Roll band Australia and possibly the world has produced.

Greatest live band I have ever seen, and thats plenty.

AC/DC then Daylight for me!!!
