Plenty more to be fixed beyond those two.

The reality is if the saga did not happen (i know ) and we did not win any finals he would already be gone. Rightly or wrongly he got credit in the bank as the sid he way building was looking okay and it got blown up through no fault of his.
At the end of the day any anger should be directed at the club . They made the decision to keep him and let him run his own race at stages.
All I can say is he loved the club . He is as Essendon as any one of us maybe more . It was well past time to let him go but I am not angry at him. He was a good bloke with the master politician (Sheedy) in his corner. The club not having any balls is to blame for him being here too long.
It will be a pretty emotional time for him . He was never in it for the money or the just the job.

Good servant of the club and I don't think anyone will doubt his passion for EFC...This decision is many years overdue, whatever way you cut it, he did a poor-average job. I am glad he is now out, I don't like slamming the door on people on the way out, but this is well well overdue.

Good question. You don't hear about Eddie (and whoever replaced him) being held hostage by financial backers, though.

I even recall them exploring things like in house clothing production for club merch, that make me think they're not just in the black because of members and rich shadowy figures

I really don't care if Dodo is a good bloke or if he loves the club. Those things are irrelevant. I would much rather someone who is not nice and who doesn't love the club if that person could actually do their job well and help set us up for success.

I agree anger should be directed at the club, they are a complete basket case. However, I do understand the frustration directed at Dodo. I believe that if he really cared about the club, he would have stepped aside long ago given the objectively bad record and lingering questions about his performance. He's a multimillionaire with all of his property investing, so it's not like he needed the money.

Agreed, same with sheedy. I don't care what he did in past and that he loves the club, because at some point in the early 00s he started to think he was bigger than the club and prioritised his self interests.
Honestly feel like he put the wheels in motion of our demise with his actions at the tail end of his career, and the club continues to put him and his methods on a pedestal instead of accepting we need to move on.
