Not sure that 20 years ago qualifies as 'recent' then again I am not a Saints surporterLot of pressure on both sides. Recent Grand Finals seen to be a hoodoo for both with Lions losing their last two and Swans losing their last 3.
Yeah that wouldn't be a weird vibe at all ('though I get what you mean!)He could present his old shorts to an Auskick kid
You mean like we have to do for the Semi Finals and the Preliminary Finals and had to do each year for the first finals before we had the pre-finals bye?Let's organize a grand final venue a week before it's on. You're a real genius mate.
Yes we did notice how sad the Hawthorn posters were over the demise of their dear dear friends the CatsAnd as a Victorian, how bloody good is it not to see Geelong in it. Most Vics would be loving this GF matchup. I was in the AFL members tonight and all the neutrals were going for Brisbane. We love it when our local rivals miss out.
The cardboard is a clever marketing technique to keep the footy club financially viable and thus doesn't need, for example, another future football state to keep the club afloat. Not this GF. As someone from and spent way too many years in Sydney, they're just about the most loathsome supporter base in the game (hard call between Sydney and West Coast). Absolute theatre-goers / pretenders. The fact they use cardboard to clap instead of their hands says it all.
Hope the Lions maim them Saturday.

ROFL. Noone should ever defend cardboard clappers. At any level. Typical Sydney. Absolute pretenders. The cardboard is a clever marketing technique to keep the footy club financially viable and thus doesn't need, for example, another future football state to keep the club afloat.

Hawks have plenty of cash. I bet we stay in Lonnie as well for a while. Great town. Has more soul than Sydney.

And bulk buying all those witches hats from alibaba.com.From a club with the biggest bandwagon supporters in the land.
I went to Hawks v Swans at MCG in Rd 7.
A crowd of 38,000 mainly South Melbourne supporters.
We’re were you all?
Disgraceful,
But sure enough the gold jackets were dusted off after 5 years & the bandwagoners were back by round 20.
Please please make the real wiz present the trophy.
Of course you carnt, with 150k posts what else have you got to do.Can't wait to see his next zinger
We've lost so many so we've had to adapt.I'll be going for Sydney as there fans in 2022 were good sports
Blue and gold is the most aesthetically pleasing combo. The Sydney/West Coast grannys would have to have been the most ascetically pleasing colour match up
You need to have an element of supporters who jump on for any reason.Yep, we have our share of dogs and cats members. Can't argue that.
You seem to be a Melbourne resident.
I was specifically referring the Sydney based supporters/crowds. After all, they're a Sydney team and have been for over forty years and yet still getting benefits vs other clubs. Any old South Melbourne based fans really are just victims cheering on a team that left them.
You've spoken to all 10,000 Vic-based members presumably.Any old South Melbourne based fans really are just victims cheering on a team that left them.
What’s wrong with Sydney home kit, and Lions home guernsey with white shorts?Posted this on the footy jumpers board...
this is a nice jumper match up in theory, but not great for afternoon telly. Take for example from rd 19:

Unless Sydney were also to wear white shorts, which they seldom do, I just can't see the AFL allowing that mash up for their marquee match - and also can't imagine Swans not pushing for their full home kit, which they've earnt the right to wear.
I think logically it's going to be Sydney in their home kit and Brisbane in their Bears clash:

It's really not a bad look imo.
Thinking they are in any way similar is the most Sydney thing ever.Yeah, Essendon has one. Very opaque eligibility requirements and little visible development work.
Eagles heritage guernsey is the bestBlue and gold is the most aesthetically pleasing combo.
we don't need to trade for those, Laura just gives them to us anyway out of kindness.I'll trade you more priority draft picks for it!!
Those were games that didn't count for much.We trounced the reigning premiers there. Also did a number on the Hawks by 12 goals, and they went on to win 7 of their next 8 after they faced us.
If we lose it will have zilch to do with the venue.
