Yeah, I am too. Had these next two games down as losses to start the season as them team is still learning who they are.

Last year Fremantle finished 14th, they traded for no-one good the off season, and this year they've beaten three winless sides.

According to David King’s match preview this will be the week Carlton officially arrive, and they will flog whoever it is they are playing.
Obviously you think that McManus, Mundy and McPharlin, are the Freo linchpins in this game.

Please tell me what Carlton have done in the past 20 years to deserve any respect or the massive circle jerk currently going on with them? Seriously you should have a look at both teams’ win loss records since 2000 and get back to me when Carlton actually do something of note.

Carlton fell over the line against Brisbane and Richmond who are ranked 13th and 14th, and have a poor percentage which suggests they are flattered by their ladder position. Should currently be at 8th or just outside of the 8.
They traded for no one good in the off season (well, an injury prone and basically useless Orazio Fantasia).

For once I agree with David King
Whenever he makes an outrageous comment like that, he usually gets it wrong.
Coz the team that Carlton had in 2000 is the same team in 2023 so that result will stay the same lol
Perhaps look at a more recent block of games. Carlton have won 14 of their past 16 games so their form isn't too bad

Should be an interesting tussle with both coming in with 3 wins and on neutral turf. Think the key points for Carlton are that Harry has his goal kicking mojo back, Weiters is back with a game under his belt and Charlie is Charlie. Also Acres and Cerra would be wanting to put in a good show against their former club. I would say the Blues go in as slight favourites.

we have shocking starts but back the team in to claw back that sort of margin.
Premiership quarter (3rd) we’ve conceded 3 goals in 3rds whilst kicking 12.

So your 3rd might be good, but that's also our highest scoring quarter. Our 4ths are also really good.
This, of course, tells us absolutely nothing about how this game will go.

I haven't read the whole thread. I understand that when you don't frequent someone else's board, it's hard to know which posters are known jokers and which ones are known for making silly, bold and grandiose statements that don't always reflect the sentiment of the majority. These posts tend to stand out more. A few of the posts about 'smashing' were even from the same poster, which may also have slipped your attention and made it look worse.
Most of us know that Freo are a good side and that this won't be an easy game.
One of those comments came from someone DURING the Crows game. The Crows were putrid in that game, but it was close for most of the game and you kicked nearly half your goals in the last 15-20mins of the game. Both teams combined for 9 goals 20 at 3/4 time.
