Early days and there will no doubt be numerous changes between now and round 1.
Still not convinced about Hately and would probably prefer Rowell but am currently $37K short.
Goes without saying that rookie spots are only placeholders at this stage (other than Cockatoo) although I'm pretty confident that Jones and Powell will be in my round 1 squad.
Feel free to give your comments and let's hope we can get some interest going in DT this year.

Not to discourage you from Neale again but he might get silenced by Clarke/Hewett in round 1.

Made a fair few changes. Midfield improves at the expense of my forwardline. Downgraded a couple high end rookies to basement price ones. $8,500 leftover

Cerra and Bailey are two selections from left field. Feel that Sloane represents better value than Cerra but you obviously believe he's going to have a breakout year, so go with your gut. Surprised that you don't have either Milera in your squad but where do you get the $$$ to pay for him?
Otherwise I think it's a good starting point.

Curious as to why you would choose Lynch as your R3. Being a Collingwood player, you could rarely use him for the C loophole. I feel that Neale will be available later at a fairly reduced price.

Yeah i'm pretty bullish on Cerra but Bailey may go down to a rookie and then i can upgrade to Milera. It will depend on whether there are more backline or forwardline rookies available.

Would probably look more asthetically balanced if I swapped Gawn > Preuss/Draper & Hately > Neale

I’m only picking neale because I know he will be a spud this season when everyone doesn’t have him and I do after not having him for 75% of last season. I hope he does get tagged round 1 and score 60 to prove my point.

Watch Brayspud also come out with a bang while Viney is injured. Can never pick him again though. Can also bookmark Cripps to return to 110 avg, he's bulking back up again and seems fit...another one I can't pick again.

Given his old inside mid role, Brayspud could well go 100+. Cripps is in the same boat but like you, I just can't go there.

Always good until week 2 of the finals. That's when the strong starters really fire sadly.
Fair chance the team wont look like this after the Bye rounds but will be great fun early.

I feel you have too many mid priced players. Most of the "experts" I've listened to say that you need to start with two of Lloyd, Whitfield and Laird. You have none of them. It almost look like you are trying to create a league of POD's. Two or three should be your maximum of POD's not the 10 or so which are here
If you're going to have an R3 with heck/Fwd status. it's no use in then having Marshall as your R1. He needs to be a forward.

Very similar structure to mine although I have 1 extra premium defender. Treloar is a gamble as who knows how the dogs will rotate their midfielders. Not yet sold on Caldwell - I've gone with Phillips instead.

Treloar is my pick to play the most minutes in the centre of all Dogs players bar Libba. I could be wrong but i think he isnt that much use up forward and between him and Macrae i think Macrae will be the one to spend some time on one wing. Obviously Hunter has the other wing practically to himself. That said, if my prediction is wrong then there is a risk he goes backwards, but i dont think it would be by much.

To elaborate, i think Libba & Treloar will spend most of the time on ball with Macrae & B.Smith fighting for the 3rd inside spot as well as rotating onto one wing. Dunkley will rotate between forwardline and inside mid, mainly to spell Libba. Bont will be used inside in spurts as well. Lipinski and E.Richards may spend a little bit of time on the wing but are mainly flankers.

Assuming 100 mins (i know its not realistic but ill go with it for simplicity)

Libba = 60 mid, 0 wing
Treloar = 55 mid, 15 wing
Macrae = 50 mid, 25 wing
Dunkley = 50 mid, 0 wing
Bont = 40 mid, 0 wing
B.Smith = 30 mid, 30 wing
Lipinski = 5 mid, 20 wing
Hunter = 0 mid, 75 wing
E.Richards = 0 mid, 25 wing

Others = 10 mid, 10 wing

That adds to 300 mid minutes & 200 wing minutes. I could be completely off though. A dogs fan would know more. I'm just saying i dont think Treloar is nearly as useful forward as say Bont or Dunkley. The one im struggling to fit into the picture is B.Smith but i think he can split midfield/wing time.
