Jeez, 10 parts. That's a ****load of posts!

Someone will have to alert Ross otherwise he won't find this page for days.;)

Pruned a few 100 posts out of that last one as well.

If 10 threads and roughly 10 thousand posts give or take a few doesn't mean a big interest in this game than I don't know what does.

Maybe in honor of the tenth thread maybe Ross should release some more info LOL.

Ross. In the old AFL games the crowd attendance would pop up on the screen, will this feature be included in AFL Live 2011?

Would also love to know if replays are done by the CPU for goals and marks ( I know there are replays at the end of every quarter) or can we pause the game and view a replay using a menu item.

Eg: pause and click on instant replay and view anything that happened on the field in a set time frame.

Man you ask heaps of questions gareth! There is certainly an instant replay feature from the pause menu. Ross has talked about it alot.

Well one of the EB pics had the word 'replay' in the top-right corner, so there's your answer I guess.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

And I ask the questions because they haven't been asked before and because like most people on here I am really interested in the game and to find out what sort of features it will have.

Ant_'s real name
All paid internet actors here to create a giant hoax.

Loved the screen shots from the end of thread 9.
The player markers aren't that bad and will likely blend away with the fast movement of players.

Just had a quick look at the pics again, the Collingwood-Carlton ruck contest ones have Harry O'Brien (distuinguishable because of slight beard and arm tattoo), Heath Shaw and Sharrod Wellingham. Judd and not sure who for Carlton, but its pure amazing to think this year we can actually tell which player is which!

Also, the pic of Collingwood-St Kilda, look at the roof of Etihad! It looks more real than the real roof!! BigAnt seriously need credit for attention to detail on this one. Some player faces might be off here or there but every player is recognisable to those who can pick the player AND the stadiums look identically realistic to the real stadiums!

Good work to Ross and BigAnt.

Thanks for the kind words above and in the other threads.

The arrows are out of proportion on the zoomed in stills, they look OK in the game, we haven't gone to all the trouble we have graphically to kill it with something that doesn't fit.

With a potential Big Ant visit, this is something that may or may not occur depending on a number of external factors, as there is risk - people who do get to test it cannot talk about it until after the game is released or the publisher says that they can, which is generally the very opposite of the nature of people who come on here. Further, there is no way that I will be picking the group... I wouldn't take that responisibility and the wrath that will no doubt come with it! :)

Don't worry about testing, too late for that... not like your going to make changes to the game now if it's criticised. We'll all play it when its released.

 good question. but will they be accurate crowd figures in the new version?

last game, freo & north were drawing crowds of close to 90,000 :D

Does anyone have any idea how far away the pc release date will be after the consoles? Eb has no pre order for the pc and no one seems to be mentioning it? I hope it isnt something like 6 months after!! I half understand the piracy thing but anything more than 2 months after is just plain unfair. :(

I half understand the piracy thing

Oh, I bet you do, elpirate :p

IMO the PC version will come out about 6 months later (probably around the end of the regular season/start of finals). That way they can have a bit of confidence that anyone with a console who wants the game will have already bought it.

If it helps I can dig up the email I sent to you guys years ago inquiring about a "tester" position when the new AFL game was first announced

Subbed for more awesomeness, can't wait to play this online and get good connections for once!!

Not sure if this has been asked or answered..does the finals have a much bigger/louder atmosphere compared to the regular season?
Also how long did it take to design Brendan Fevola's chin...Was this the reason for the delays?

Question for Ross.....

Has Good Game (ABC) been in touch to review or preview the game?

I noticed on their last episode last year they listed a heap of games coming out for 2011, but AFL wasn't one. That surprised me, being a local product that will attract all AFL supporters (plenty of us).
