Coming out a month or 2 after the iOS version.

Is basically a HD version of Wii AFL with all the features, etc, and will most likely have a starting price at around $7.99 for the "Gold" version which will have more stadiums, teams, etc.

On an iphone?

How do you know, no offence but I have found no evidence of this and I just want proof so that I don't buy an ipod touch when I could just get the game on my Android phone.

This is a comment from the original wall post on Wicked Witch's Facebook page. Comment is by Wicked Witch:

Wicked Witch: As it is basically a HD version of the full console game, it may have to be at a premium price of around $9, and this would likely include a full 2012 update for free at the start of the new season next year. The Android version will hopefully follow soon after that. We will post some screenshots soon! How does that all sound?

"hopefully" I'm definitely hoping thanks for the news you just made my day.

Can someone please request bluetooth controller support for the android and/or ios version i dont have a facebook account and don't really want one.

Seriously. For Australian game companies every sale matters. I can't believe your not prepared to pay 9 dollars for it. This isn't a company like Activision or EA.

It is this attitude that is killing the Australian game industry. We all need to be prepared to support Australian developers producing Australian content. I can assure you that you downloading this game for free won't help more games be made in the future.

Maybe so but $9 is a bit much for an iPhone game.

I payed $8 or something yesterday for Minecraft on the iPad.

Would recomend not selling this for anymore than that. Minecraft is one of the most popular games in the world so wouldn't expect to be paying more for this.

Will get it for sure though. Looking forward to it.

Maybe post a video or a free app which is very limited. Mainly to get some comments and advice on how to make it better.

Never played an AFL game on consoles/PC (always wanted to), but will totally pay $9 for this sight unseen.

Don't be so cheap people.

If its anything like the Wii version, which apparently it is..Its not even worth the 9 dollars.

:0
well this is cool, even though i dont rate wicked witch, the fact that they are willing to experiment like this is really cool. and to people who complain about a $9 app, sigh, this is why we cant have nice things, $9 is like 2 coffees, if thats too much for you fine dont buy it, but then dont complain as if $9 is not a bargain for a full featured game.

Also i have fears that the port will be real janky, but am open to being proved wrong.

Hi BigFooty,

Have not been around much lately due to the fact we have been so busy!
Firstly, thanks for the positive and supporting comments, it is much appreciated and helps keep us working hard on these games.

As such, we have just released Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge : MiniGames (more info on our site : http://wicked-witch.com.au/index.php?page=136)

This is the first game of 3 Rugby Games planned. They will be : MiniGames (out now), QuickMatch, and GoldEdition (coming soon in 2012). With this initial release we are testing features and gauging support, and to build upon the features in our game engine. So the better each games does, the more love we can put into updates and future titles.

We will be following a similar format with all of our sports games, including AFL iOS. However we will be releasing the AFL:Gold Edition first. The game is basically a full version of the Wii game, with the exception of minigames and a few less stadiums, and uses a virtual control pad. We will be seeking input on features and improvements from you guys for a big 2012 update, as well as a MiniGame and QuickMatch download if all goes well. I hope we get some contructive feedback.

We are also keen to add Android support, but it will likely be a few months later in 2012 at best, as we are developing as fast as humanly possible and it just takes time to get through it all.

Lastly, I have just had news that AFL:Gold Edition for iOS should be announced any day now, and will be available for Christmas. As soon as we know details, we will post some more about it!

Thanks again for the ongoing support,

Wicked Witch

Cheers! Very much looking forward to footy on the iOS! I'm glad there will be State based leagues as well, although it's annoying not having the SANFL in there as it wasn't on the Wii version. Nevertheless I'm getting it!
