Our best 3 tonight
1) Maxwell
2) Keefe
3) Swan - he hasnt been good, but theres no one else I could think of. At least he is getting the ball, which is more than I can say for others.

Our worst 3 tonight
1) Harry, i think we all know why.
2) Pendles
3) Thomas

Pendles and Thomas are there because they played so far below their expected output. Sinclair and Goldie might have been bad, but we dont expect them to be great. Pendles and Thomas on the other hand...

Im entitled to my opinion which has proven correct. The team is a shambles. I can handle a loss but not one like this and to all teams Carlton.

I will not debate with anyone who has displayed such single minded antipathy towards the incoming coach as you.

I don't recognise the these guys on the field.

All the talk of it being the players and not Buck's game plan....... What game plan is that? There is no structure or field positioning.

This team seems/ is lost. Unwilling or unable to put their head over the ball. No second efforts. No awareness. Flat footed. Cannot run with their opponents. Etc etc.

Where is the mungrel?

I can understand if 3, maybe 4 players having a stinker. But this is the WHOLE team.

And that is the coaches responsibility.

I suspect what we're seeing is an over reaction in planning to what happened at the end of the year when we were burnt out. It's risky to take a team into a year underprepared on the hope your alent will give you enough wins to make sure you can ram home at the end of the season.
But the skills and decision making is just rank, like a bad fart. Confidence comes and goes, hopefully pick it up over the next few weeks.
Getting samcked at the stoppages where we've actually been very good was the poorest part of the game

Let's fast forward to Round 18. The Pies finals hopes are dashed and we've failed to win a game in the last 8 rounds. We have a full deck of players to choose from and yet we still can't manage more than 9 goals a game. We bleed an average of 14 goals a game.

You have every right to look at the coaches then. It's round 3 Jock McHale....round 3.

A horrible season......... Thomas, jolly, Dawes, toovey,
Beams, Harry, wellingham( off field included ) are very
disappointing. With all out facilities and clout I also
Think we recruited the wrong people to support bucks.
Lappin and Harvey are bad choices IMO
And u look at Carlton. Brown, Richo and willo.
I'm so disappointed.

Keefe was ok, it was hard for him with the huge amount of ball coming down, especially after Reid went off.

The thing that has stood out to me all nab cup and first 3 rounds is the ampunt of scoring shots we r giving up. Lets b honest, our use of the ball has been disgraceful all year. Our movement of the ball is terrible, slow and ineffective.
Whatever game plan this is needs to rectified big time.
Only keeffe,maxwell,clarke, sidebottom and fasolo can hold their heads high.
Pathetic the rest of them.

Also, sinkers iS almost certain to keep his spot if ball is injured.

Though for next week; out: Reid, Ball (both injured), O'Brien
In: Seedsman, Paine and Johnson.

Now Paine would need to go back, he can be a defender. Though not proven at AFL level. Who else do we have to fill that spot really?

Is the difference between Jolly's actual output and Wood really that great? I am sick of watching Jolly give away soft free kicks in the ruck contest or through dumb aggression. For a player of his experience this is not good enough.

Let's not forget that Wood was doing well last year and was getting better as he gained in confidence.

We should find out for once and for all if Wood has what it takes to be a decent AFL ruckman and run with him for the rest of the year.

Swan should spend next week in the VFL.
