Aints are a clear bottom 4 side while we're supposed to have a great up and coming young list.

Might as well pay out Bucks now if we can't have a reasonably comfortable win.
Saints werent bottom 4 in 2015, and they too would think they have a young up and coming list.

Posts like this are rubbish and add nothing, over-reaction based on one performance is the domain of flogs like Robbo and D.King.

Will be a tough game.

I think the saints will be too quick for us today, they are very underrated.
Reiwoldt will tear us to shreads aswell.
In saying that i hope we can win, dont care how much by.
We have an easy ish next 2 weeks after this game.

Riewoldt? Lol. Brown has the job done like he has since 2010.

Iv seen both the saints game and there actually in better form then us without winning. We have to many players lacking confidence! Saints by 35

It will be interesting in here tonight if that happens.

Morning all. Big game here really. A loss and that remarkable win from last week means very little. It's like breaking serve in tennis. We've broken the serve of a tough player (by beating one of our tough first 2 opponents) we now need to consolidate that by winning today. If we win today, and we should we will head to Western Australia in a few weeks at 4-1.

Really interested to see how Maynard, Howe and Aish go against lesser opposition over the next few weeks. I hope they all play well today and keep their spot, because it may just force a normally entrenched name out of the 22 with Varcoe and Sidey back next week.

I'll be nervous today, have a lot of saints relatives so losing to them is never fun, not that we've done that in a while.

If we're going places in 2016 this is a real opportunity to build into this season and we should win it by 6 goals + given our recent record v St Kilda, how undersized their back half is and the edge we "should" have through the midfield.

That being said this is the sort of match we've struggled with previously because they are strong in the greatest weak area of our team, clearances. Given what we've dished up so far I just don't know.

In the end there are two given for me in this one. The first is Pendles through the midfield all day. In terms of what he brings to the back half I don't think he'll be as important there this week. The second is that as supporters we will again be frustrated :(

You've gone the other way though. Considering the club is widely acknowledging that 2017 is our aim for pressing toward top 4 this is a year in which we need to be involved in September.

St Kilda on the other hand are 18 months behind in their development so it really shouldn't be a tough one given our aspirations this year...

If there was ever going to be a day that Trav Cloke gets an opportunity to take a few clunks and have a few shots at goal, it'll be today.

Fisher, Geary, Roberton, Newnes, Dempster, Gilbert is their starting back 6.

Fisher is named on Trav, he's got him covered by 4cm and 16kg, Dempster is named at CHB, Cloke has him covered by 5cm and 19kg, and the only other viable defensive options are Roberton and Gilbert who Trav has covered by only 2cm but 20 & 18kg! I want to see Trav throw his weight around and take those contested marks that his best footy is built around!

If we play like last week we will lose this game and we will lose well.

I will be really pissed off if we play like last week and I will be really pissed off if I see Williams take a kick out today.

Saints by 18 points :(

18 months behind? So you really mean 2 years behind since the season has just started and 18 months would put them at the same stage as us for the season in 2018. Don't think so, they've been rebuilding for longer than us, no way are they 2 years behind us, maybe 1 year but either way you've gone and done the same thing you critcised someone else about and gone the other way.

What's this talk about St Kilda being good and beating us.
They are shite, nothing more.
Their backline is tiny and the forward line contains an old Riewoldt and jorneymen.
Their midfield has talent but we should be winning this by 30.
