Ash Riddell - 36 votes. After a quiet first half she just owned the ball.
Captains Kearns - 14 votes. captains game. Was everywhere every time Carlton tried to do something. Her experience and footy smarts just shinbe thru in games like that.
Mia King - 9 votes. Honestly I think she's as important as Jammin' or Ash in the middle. Her defensive game is elite, probably bets in the comp and she's an offensive weapon as well. 8 SIs, 6 tackles.
Bella Eddey - 7 votes. was going under the radar a bit with AOL playing so well but in this game she tore it up.
Ruby Tripodi - 3 votes. One for every three tackles. Her and MIa in there is the AFLW version of the old North meat grinder, but heaps better.
Jammin - 2 votes. She played a dominant game too. How did she only get two votes? Not enough votes to give to too many good players.
Niahm Martin - 1 vote. How good is our depth? Nearly kicked goty, was incredible in front of goal. Just a little unlucky.

Thanks to Gumble Frankieton for counting the votes too.

5 - Ash Riddell.
4 - Emma Kearney.
3 - Mia King.
2 - Bella Eddey.
1 - Ruby Tripodi.

This is the North AFLW leaderboard after game 5.

24 - Ash Riddell.
16 - Jasmine Garner.
8 - Emma Kearney.
7 - Alice O'Loughlin.
6 - Mia King.
5 - Ruby Tripodi.
4 - Kate Shierlaw.
3 - Libby Birch.
2 - Bella Eddey.
2 - Vikki Wall.

We're nearly at the halfway mark and so far Ash Riddell is dominating the count. The way Mia and Ruby have come on as inside mids has really freed her up to start cutting the game apart on the outside. Ruby and Mia's improvement is reflected in their position on the board too, both top 6 in a very close count for the placings.

The board shows a great mix of youth and experience too. Alot to like about the side this season.
