Only kicked 1.2 in the second half but we were coming off a 5-day break so it was always going to be hard to won’t win what we did in the first half.

Only watched the first quarter so far, but am I wrong to feel like it's possibly the best football the women's side has played over the last two years, if not even over their entire time in the competition?

Connection was incredible. Loose ball gets were clean. Contest was sensational. Accuracy was, well, accurate.
Unfortunately disappears in the 2nd half

Mikhaila reminds me of Daniel Kerr.

Little jet

So apparently Pugh was off for most of the second half?

Explains their run on.
Dont think that is correct the other girl got on top in the last quarter given her bigger size and number of times it went inside their forward fifty , great gritty effort by our girls off a 5 day break ( Gabby and Roxy as could be expected ran out of gas after the first half) Well done Stannert, Mim and Miller for showing the way
Good coaching/tatics to see a player trying to run forward through the pack at bounce downs/throw ups etc, Jlo please take note (East and Miller in particular)
Must say Westiera is not up the required standard but is needed to give Mim a chop out

Fair enough. Thought she went off for a concussion test.

Just got some bad info

Need to get Tighe up the ground
100000000000000% correct.

I guess its steal from Peter to pay Paul.

She is fast and kick it a mile.

The last quarter against Collingwood is a case in point. Tighe long kicking to a contest and Hetherington provided the air pressure which created a lot of chances for our smalls.

Last quarter against the Tigers she went back and was a wall preventing goals.

I know it is a new league and we shouldn’t be too critical of players. But, I would prefer any other player ahead of Westiera and agree she is not up to standard, Roxy or Hetherington are far more preferable support to Mim. I have been expecting her to be dropped after each game and I am genuinely surprised she has dodged the axe.

Not a big fan of Hetherington so far either, but I'm sure anyone could offer more than Wielstra at this point.

Wielstra's spot would be right up there as the one for Antonio to take, should she be ready to go. Wielstra's a way off it at the moment.

The game on Friday was a pretty good showcase for added mobility and speed for us. Bringing in the vets (either of them), we'd need to be extremely aware of taking out added run (Tuhukaraina especially and Roux as what she can offer to flexibility).

Did east get done for her tackle?

Either way I'd have east out for bowers
She had a really good second half. She is a bit timid though. Her and Kauffman were good inside. Maybe Bowers could use her kicking more. She tends to just stand behind her opponent and tackle when playing inside mid. East and Kauffman tend to win it more.

I thought East was pretty good and is developing well. Provides lots of zip.

Antonio in for Wielstra or Hetherington and Bowers in for Mulholland or Cregg.
Don’t take any of the young ones out.
This is our first test against a top 4 side and we have always played well against NM because they aren’t a quick side and our fast ball movement can catch them out.

Agreed on those changes and the reasoning behind.

I also reckon East is terrific and if we don't stick fat with the promising young-uns, the near future will be very grim.

Totally agree with keeping it nimble (inclusive of out-and-out pace, ball movement and list evolution).

It's really important we keep a balance in the pace stakes when bringing in Bowers and/or Antonio. They're still in the top half of the B22, but aren't what they were and certainly aren't as fast or dynamic as we might want without quick players around them.
