She still trys her best but must be carrying a bad injury Club needs to be honest and take some heat off her and maybe with the season shot needs a rest and prepare for next yearMiller has been awful in the midfield too though
Keep her on the same salary, but add tackling coach to her playing role. How bad is Turbo's knee? Is she going to take a much reduced salary next contract?
HAHA DEBUT KLAXON GO BRRR
Speaking of depth etc, the article says Turbo's back in the team. Let's hope she makes it to game day!!About time.
Looks like we may be seeing how the depth goes now, while still being mildly competitive.
Interesting to see what the off season looks like
They're keeping the National Draft option, probably going to lose a few WA girls to that, noone wants to stick around with the bottom of ladder teamsAFLW sign, trade and draft details confirmed
The AFL has confirmed several key dates for the AFLW competition, including the sign and trade period, the draft and the W Awardswww.afl.com.au
"Off the back of a landmark CBA, players can sign 12-month minimum contracts without a cap on maximum terms."
Having lost a bunch of (I'm assuming) tier 2/3 players over the last 2 seasons, surely there's scope for us to lure 1 or 2 talents * cough * Ella Roberts * cough * with the offer of a second tier contract.
Does anyone know, btw, where to find info about AFLW list management regulations? How many 2nd and 3rd tier players can a side have, for example? Does the tier system still operate even?
The default number of players per tier is 2-6-6-16. However, clubs can rearrange it as they wish, so long as a) the TPP still adds up the same, and b) they don't have more than three Tier 1 players.AFLW sign, trade and draft details confirmed

If Roberts is out of contract and by chance nominated Freo, the required trade capital would be a couple of our first draft picks really. Anything else on top of that would only be in keeping with good working relationships. The default number of players per tier is 2-6-6-16. There is no way Ella Roberts will be on anything less than a Tier 1 contract next year. The question is how much West Coast, and any other suitor, will be willing to offer in ASAs (noting 2024 is the last season in which the top 2 players at each club can be paid unlimited money in ASAs).
Then there's also the question of whether an interested club has anything sufficient to trade for her.
List management rules can be found in the CBA, which is on the AFLPA website.
Other than Bowers, who are our T1’s?Being able to offer bulk years is going to be a sledgehammer to buying young talent in December.
Miller, probably nobody else.Other than Bowers, who are our T1’s?
2020 | 2021 | 22S6 | 22S7 | |
1st | Kiara Bowers | Kiara Bowers | Hayley Miller | Kiara Bowers |
2nd | Ebony Antonio | Stephanie Cain | Ebony Antonio | Hayley Miller |
3rd | Hayley Miller | Janelle Cuthbertson | Angelique Stannett | Aine Tighe |
Thanks for this. I was only wondering about Roberts not being on a T1 because I know that WC basically bought Franklin with "significantly more" than Freo could offer, which suggests T1 plus extras. Wonder what's going to happen once the ASA limits kick in?The default number of players per tier is 2-6-6-16. Unfortunately our first two draft picks wouldn’t be anywhere near enough to get Roberts. If Roberts is out of contract and by chance nominated Freo, the required trade capital would be a couple of our first draft picks really. The WC have had such a sweet ride (at Freo's expense) as far as drafting goes, I'd feel zero obligation to go further than the minimum.
