It is with great pleasure that I can announce that the fabulous Gold City Royals are once again at the top of the Sweet FA ladder.


What's even more amazing is that they were languishing on the bottom of the ladder back in Round 7.


Since then they have gone 8 - 1 and are currently on a 6 game win streak.


Already regarded as the best posting side in the league, now they have the ladder position to cement their claim as the best club in the league.


So one might ask, what has been the catalyst for the turn around.


Is it GreyCrow finally getting a CPAP machine to cure his debilitating sleep apnea, that was quite literally shaking the walls of the Golden Throne?


Or is it grumbleguts finally earning his 10th PhD in Winology at the University of Sweet?


Maybe it was the captain Cadsky learning to bake, and delighting the team with his 'Biscuit of the Week' at training?


Or could it be the promotion of club Golden boy Footypie32 to vice captain that has sparked this change in form?


Maybe it's exciting rookie duo Nothing and Pedro starting to find their place in the big league?


I thought it best to ask some members of the opposition for their thoughts...

1. People who are overconfident or too arrogant are likely to fail. This saying is adapted from the biblical Book of proverbs.

You state as evidence the Royals are the best club in the league because you have gone 8 - 1 and are currently on a 6 game win streak.

Well my friend you should take note of the Old Boys who stayed modest and didn't carry on how good they were during our winning streak when remained at the top of the ladder for 10 weeks straight because we knew it was only a matter of time the sim would level the win loss ratio. So the fact you are winning so many H&A games just before the finals does not bode well for you as the losses are coming for you at the wrong time of the year, the Royals have peaked way to early.

Well the Old Boys have just finished playing the Royals, the match thread does not support what you are saying at all .

Of the top ten posters in the thread you had 3 posters with your highest poster coming in at 3rd position, and as far as posting numbers the Royals were blown out of the water. You proved the falseness of your assertions when you tried to sell the Royals are the best posting side.

Granted the Royals are top of the ladder, I give you that and as for old proverbs you might want to take note of the one that says

make hay while the sun shines​

to make good use of an opportunity while it lasts

because your time at the top wont..........................................

I am in no way pissed that we didn't do media about how good we were when we sat atop the ladder for 10 weeks, in fact I feel a warm glow sitting back watching the Royals setting themselves up for a massive fall. Been awhile since I've had a good laugh so I look forward to it.
