Yeah weird moves there’s a lot of talent on the roster that is going to be lost in the shuffle and stuck in those mid card spots which was either majority of the fans problem with those in the first place or the talent themselves not happy with how they were used.

Brian Cage should leave, horrible how he’s been used of late and not sure they will much else with him.

Punk better hurry up and move on up as the I came back to see if I can go with the kids stick is wearing off quick. He’s a star attraction probably the second biggest behind Danielson.

Unless a Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins jumped ship AEW will never have as much momentum as they had when Punk and Bryan signed up, strike whilst the Iron is hot like they did with Bryan and The Elite. They could have had Punk move on to Miro / Moxley/ Kingston or the Elite. I know it’s hard with only 4 PPVs but just feel like it’s a missed opportunity to have Punk wrestling up and comers right now rather than go in for the kill with something big early.

The Darby match was great and so much excitement to see his return. Punks always great to watch but could just be me but that excitement isn’t quite there as it is with Danielson given who he’s working with.

I think a significant difference with AEW is that they can still work independent dates.

So if they can still work those and show up on Dynamite every now and then and likely still get regular Dark matches, it's probably a lot better than sitting in off TV hell in WWE.

Agree that it’s better for them in that way but only natural for a majority to get lost in the shuffle.

Are AEW running live house shows again yet? Guess the time will come when WWE come crawling especially with them running house shows again.

Just your run of the mill awesome AEW show on an every given Wednesday. Great to see Hangman back. That ladder match was stacked, great viewing. Serena Deeb match was great. Was a great surprise to see her get the win.
Sammy match was solid. Fish isn’t signed so not sure what the usual morons are whinging about.

Honestly I think you rate Cage a lot higher than most. I like the guy but he has the charisma of a dishcloth.

I’d argue Punk is a bigger star than Danielson quite comfortably. I’m happy for him to put over some young guys for the short term. I’m all about love fest Punk.

Why even bother having a ref in these big tag matches?

Yea the action was good and they didn't make the co operation too obvious (or have the production crew expose it) but the sequence at the end was too much. Four guys teeing off on someone in the ring for way too long. JR couldn't help himself with it either and clearly frustrated. Have maybe two doing it before the other 2 very quickly rush in for the 4 in one knee.

Wow what a Dynamite! My notes from the show.

Good opening tag match.

Arn Anderson is gold on the mic (To Cody). "Why don't you just paint a star on your face, and everything will be cool."

Happy to hear the ReDRagon ROH theme for Bobby Fish, I expect him to compete in MLW as well as AEW.

lol at Jericho saying they will beat the living shit out of american top team. Jim Ross chimes in with "Living shit? That's the worst kind!"

The TBS title being a mid-card womens title should boost the womens division, way better than being a 3rd or 4th tier (if you count FTW) mens title.

Excited for Dante Martin vs Malakai Black. The visual of them standing under the spotlight looked cool.

I wonder where we are going with Deeb after the upset win over Shida and destroying the 50 wins trophy.

Fantastic main event. Great to see Hangman back!

Good show bookended by some high pace solid matches/segments. Still lots of rough stuff in there but lot more bad than good.

Surely having one network title is enough, seems a bit cringe having two. Doesn't seem in the spirit of AEW either. Am I right in saying it's meant to be a 'mid card' women's belt, even though they still have a thin roster at the moment?

I've only seen Hangman via YouTube in view of him coming back and almost marked a bit. Can see why he's very popular.

Bryan and Punk being used perfectly at the moment. One doesn't need to wrestle, and the other doesn't need to talk.

New Japan would be crying out for some more talent after the G1 finishes, Get Ricky Starks to beat him and loan out Brian Cage there.

Yeah that's right.

I don't think they have a thin women's roster, just that the women aren't used as much as they probably could be on Dynamite/Rampage.

I've never seen the fuss about apart from his size. But if he went to wwe vince gives him paul heyman. He will be champion within 6 months

So there is no Weds Dynamite next week? Instead it's Saturday night?

the NHL season starts next week so AEW gets bumped. It's a weird deal. Basically for the first two weeks of the NHL season, TNT is hosting double headers, one game at 730 and one game at 1000, so AEW gets bumped. then from October 27 to the end of the year, TNT is only showing 10pm games so AEW will be as normal. then when AEW moves to TBS in January, TNT is going back to showing doubler headers at 730 and 10

Lio Rush Bobby Fish these dudes are going to LOST in the shuffle very quickly absolutely bizarre signings

Another thing is that increasingly the "x is All Elite" tweets are kayfabe things as well. Daniel Garcia and Yuta Wheeler aren't yet to receive those posts but Garcia is pretty obviously not getting matches against CM Punk to boost his contract offer from WWE. I believe it was Leyla Hirsch who signed her deal ages before the tweet (in fact, Garcia's All Elite tweet is probably a chance of happening after Rampage). Add in the different contract tiers and you get some who are more Elite than others.

Lio Rush is supposedly actually signed with NJPW who gave permission for his AEW dates, plus MLW as well. Now who knows where that stands with Rush, but Bobby Fish will likely be very similar, he's already got some dates with MLW, I'd be shocked if he didn't appear on NJPW Strong, he'll do whatever indies he wants, and when Japan starts accepting wrestlers again, these guys will disappear for NJPW tours. It wouldn't shock me if Fish and Rush were actually only getting paid per appearance rather than a weekly salary which is what we'd associate with a All Elite signing

I try not to get too involved in this because it's such a chicken or the egg type deal, but they filled the Battle Royal with 21 wrestlers, plus they have others that can be used. For comparison Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling has a similar number of regulars and similar ability to bring in additional wrestlers, and they've been putting on excellent shows all year. AEW's problem is that they have 20 odd wrestlers and the women get one segment a week on Dynamite and one on Rampage and often, not always, related to Britt Baker so you know, not a lot of chances to shine. I would have preferred AEW try to do something different, do an all women's show once a month and put it on YouTube or something, but I think they have the talent, they just need the opportunities. Last night was the first time we've seen Serena Deeb and Shida on dynamite for ages and clearly that's not good enough (i know Deeb has had some kind of injury problem)

Presumably the TBS title will not have rankings applied to it, so that also gives them some options.

Very good Dynamite again. Ladder match was great. Nice to see Andrade working hard in this one. All the competitors were excellent- even Hardy. Women’s match was excellent. Shida is great, was surprised she didn’t go over here. Always been a big fan of hers. It’s getting hard to buy the Jericho ‘tough guy’ routine anymore. Think they need something different for him. Good Dynamite shows fly by.
