All football including Club Football from the U/18's and below have been canceled for an indefinite amount of time. This has been issued due to the fact that a 9 year old kid playing school football might have the Swine Flu. Thoughts?

Well I received a phone call today from my club, as did my cousin saying that all junior football has been canceled, my cousin plays for the U/18's so i'm assuming the 18's have been canceled.

Dumbest decision of all time if true. Anyone ever seen the film Idiocracy? The way society has been reacting to issues in public/the media over the past month, i give us 20 years, tops before that is reality.

Then the majority of the public fall for it and get all worked up over nothing.

waaa, the umpires are mean to us, lets complain about them then crack the shits cause we didnt get our way.
It this is true, it is a bizarre and specific over-reaction. If they are going to stop junior footy, why not netball, tennis, soccer.... If it is based on one player - surely cancelling his team or league would have been sufficient.

Can confirm that all northern junior league footy is cancelled (the league that blackfriars school / area plays in).
Know this because a mate's kid plays for Elizabeth under 15's and his entire league has told they're having a week off "minimum".
Can't speak for other leagues.

Confirmed on the news tonight all Junior Footy has been called off. Pissing myself cause we had the easiest team to play, but no, its canceled.
I heard a rumour that Franklin has a cold and all AFL matches next week have been cancelled.
