Sports Climbing, and they have different disciplines

It was introduced in Toyko along with skateboarding & BMX freestyle - trying to attract a younger audience


If you want to see some random ass sports, look up The World Games - watching a John Oliver segment on that this afternoon, it essentially acts as the trial version for random "sports" when some are pushing for entry into the Olympics:

• Speed Skating on rollerblades on a street course
• Artistic Skating; think ice-skating in the winter Olympics but this is also on rollerskates & random ass costumes (looked like one participant was dressed as Ironman)
• the Military Pentathlon, which includes events like grenade throwing (they aren't live grenades)
• Combat juggling
• Swimming, but with mermaid flippers
• Drone flying

Etc etc etc

The next one is scheduled for next year
