Not really an answer to my question. Do you think our taxation system works well?

I think that the optimum tax regime is kind of obvious, but would the government have the cojones to put it in place?

An axiomatic part of the public policy dimension of any taxation regime is the desire to disincentivise the behaviours that are undesirable through punitive taxation.

We should therefore levy severe taxes on

• people who have ponies, or who provide aid and comfort to ponies in all their forms
• people with strange food hatreds like hating pineapple on pizza
• anyone with inadequate calves

Just as a by the by jathanas the ATO would like to know your current approximate total wealth. For modelling purposes.

Zev, the vehicle is an armored car. It is made by bolting square plates to a bracing framework, and you can see evidence of the transverse frame the plate was attached to in outline in the top photo just below the missing section across the remaining . If this was a normal car, yes it would have punched a roughly circular hole, but due to the armored structure, the weakness isnt the plate face, its the attachment points, and it has punched the whole plate in and then detonated inside (hence the blown out doors).

I get irate when I see these stories... no close-up photos. I know the IDF gets so disappointed by the media coverage that they take their own videos for those late night family video screenings....Imagine not being able to watch last year's grand final over and over again...

Meanwhile it seems that the israelis have allowed biden to sell them (sell?) $18billion in new F-15s and other stuff to combat the heavily armed international food services in gaza. Biden is going to expedite the delivery so that israel can defend western civilisation from the horrendous food that the world central kitchen guy is trying to inflict on us.......shalom

with respect, i think israel has made it consistently clear for months that it doesnt want the palestinians fed. I was surprised that the aid agency co-ordinated the delivery with the Israelis. The ambulance drivers trying to save young Hind rajab did the same thing, and the israelis used the information to coordinate an attack.

It seems that the people involved in food aid and health are just not listening to the israelis, and insist on helping the palestinians. Maybe they will learn their lesson this time....

I'm a long way away but it's patently obvious to me that the israeli people are on their way to the promised land and they dont want obstacles.
