Cordy playing forward probably has more to do with trying to get a balanced 6 fwds and 6 defenders in both match sim teams.

Sometimes you have to play players out of position to accomodate others and with Cordy being a semi competent swing man, you can bank on him being one of the first sent to the other end of the ground.

Can’t discount him being on the outer though.

Eagles are well stocked for Rucks Naitanui, Vardy, Allen, Williams and have a pretty good eye, they have also developed Lycett, Hickey and Sinclair who are doing ok elsewhere.

If they are offering Sweet multi year deals and chasing English that's a pretty good sign.

On the other hand, Ilija Grgic.
Vardy is done, playing down here in the Hampden league this year. Allen is currently injured, and NicNat is one knee twist away from retirement or 1-2 full seasons away even if fit.

Hidden amongst a fairly dreadful and vague report is this:
Cody Raak found the scoreboard throughout the contest

Sounds like Raak was forward as well. Seems like we're auditioning a few similar types (tweeners with a bit of aggression and defensive nous) up there.

Wouldn’t be surprised if McComb played early in the year

The main reason we didn't trade for a ruck. Bevo has a lot of faith in him. Just needed to get fitness up.
We only offered him a one year deal until West Coast came sniffing.
Not sure we have that much faith in him considering Young was preferred late last year.

We really need Sweet's aggression and mongrel in English's frame and skillset !!!

I'd settle for Tim English's neck on Caleb Daniel. Think of the free kicks!

English vs Martin. Sweet not even a primary ruck in an intraclub or are they making him work on his forward craft?

I ran into Jake Landsberger this morning during a medical appointment and I asked him about Sam Darcy, particularly rumours that he has multiple foot fractures. He said rubbish, Sam was running, training well and there was only the issue of one stress fracture.
I thought Jake had retired. Still has his spies at the club?
