Am I the only one who thinks the Dogs will get flogged?

Well yeah, but there's a difference between physically dominating in contests rather than off the ball.

GWS wasted a lot of energy on the latter with little effect.
True. I don't think we're an off the ball niggle team though. We'd rather hit them hard in the contest. Better use of energy and a better way to spook the opposition.

Yeah I think it will be quite close, both teams match up very well, I like how they are adept at pushing their flanks up and getting effective numbers around the contest. The Swans midfield is their real strength and is the reason their defence is ranked so highly, as we saw against the Giants they can be seriously exposed if the Dogs get on top in that area. Aliir Alirr is a huge loss imo and I read they will be recalling that bloke who just points a lot. If the Dogs get it in there fast enough before they can set up their extras it will make things interesting, you'd expect Heath Gumby to crap his pants like he did in '14, but I suspect their good defenders will be under explicit instructions to clamp down on Dickson, Smith and Stringer.

If anything im
wondering why the swans are clear favourites and coming in.

Common opponent in finals-dogs did way better.

Dogs won when they played in Sydney.

Dogs in their home state and will have the crowd.

Sydney bring the ball to ground more than anyone else. Dogs are no1 groundball team.

Sydney have more injury concerns going in.

I saw the Dogs first hand at Spotless and they were tenacious. Their pressure was immense and their physicality was out of this world. I cannot see them getting smashed. However...

I believe that Sydney has been the best side all year and still feel they will get the job done. I'd back us to beat Sydney today, but unfortunately we weren't good enough to get there.

If Sydney get a fast start, I think the same theme from their last two finals will ensue. They were way too good for Adelaide and Geelong and had the game won in the first quarter. Sydney with a fast start should be too good and will hold off a Bulldog fightback.

Dogs will not be flogged today. They are a top pressure side at peak form, and they have matched with the best when their list is healthy. It would be a massive case of stage fright or a shocking run with early injuries before a Dogs flogging is a possibility.

They keep it up for four quarters too. Sydney kept up with gws for a half. We dont know about v adelaide and geelong cos it was over at half time

I'm not following your point? What exactly are you suggesting will happen?

100% agree... Been saying the real GF was between us and the Dogs... Both far too quick for swans...

Dogs have won all their finals, sydney haven't

Must say I am staggered at how many people seem to think the Dogs can win it. As a neutral, I just cant see them getting close.

I can't see them kicking anywhere near enough goals with Stringer so badly out of form.

I cannot see them being able to hold Buddy and Tippett.

The Swans midfield runs far deeper than the Dogs too.

What am I missing?
This thread....
This bloke just keeps the gold coming.

Bulldogs are much better than many are giving them credit for.

They defeated West Coast at Domain. Then Hawthorn. Then GWS in Sydney. 3 huge scalps.

Sydney lost to GWS then defeated Geelong and Adelaide.

Going by the last 3 rounds the Bulldogs should be favourites.

Hate to say I told you so!!!

If you thought the dogs would get "flogged" as so many would, i'm sorry, you have no idea about football. Like I said earlier in this thread, there was no way that would happen with the dogs gameplan and coach and the way they've shown they can pressure the Swans.
