Who cares, only an issue come finals time, unless you get to keep playing at home in a final series, then sometimes flat track bullies triumph

Teams can only beat who they play, 4 points is 4 points

Truckin' OK in 2007 til Juddy got injured, despite the Eagles suspending Benny early on. After finishing 3rd, Benny did a hammy & we went out in straight sets.
Yep, a can of worms but we worked our way thru it, a little more transparently than the rest of the comp, a time of denial of the veracity of claims by Dale Lewis (2002, guesstimate that 75% of AFL players had done illicit drugs).

I got no issue the club recovered well after that affair credit to them, but calling ours tainted is a bit rich.

Is that the only argument you have tainted. Everyone keeps on ramming that home haha i dont mind it a bit of banter is always good. I dont think we are flat trackers this year we have only really flat tracked the suns

All good mate I don't take my footy to serious no need to get stuck in each other and personal like some do.Credit to the club for it's recovery.

I am the same, i take it with a pinch of salt these days. The club thankfully has come a long way since then

Lol mate getting ahead of yourself there, Melbourne not good enough to be a flat track bully yet.
Winning 6 in a row with a percentage around 200% isn't bullying the opposition on flat tracks?

I'm freely admitting Melbourne might not be that good but I'd like to know what more they'd have to have done over the last 6 weeks on some flat tracks!

They need to start losing interstate.

People takes these sort of things way to seriously. Every team plays better at their home ground and every team plays well against under performing teams. In the end as long as you can get enough wins to host finals it doesn't matter. If you don't then you need to find a way to win. Richmond struggled away from home against good opposition this year. West Coast will have their chance to prove that they can do a better job when they play better teams away from home too. I'm not having a crack here nor trying to undervaluing the Eagles success so far but we still have half a season to go. Every team will be challenging and the final 4 may look very different by seasons end. How teams perform against this years better teams, away or home, will make all the difference.

Well said, could not have said it any better, there is 11 games to go 10 for some teams yet to have a bye. A lot can change, you will find even the most die hard eagle fans know this

Nor did Adelaide earn the minor premiership they played only 1 top 4 side away, while Richmond only played 1 at home the only reason Adelaide were able to fluke the minor premiership of Richmond

No one is questioning the Tiges 2017, are you just a tad insecure? You earned your finals locations, you were gifted the GF. The Eagles are the same BUT, just they never (ever) can earn GF location. No denial needed Benda!!

Why do you capitalise FIX in fixture? Are you implying that somehow the AFL are conspiring to manufacture a result? If so, slightly paranoid?

Before the national comp most, if not all major tier 1 State comps had a draw, the AFL does not have a draw, its fixed, hence FIXture, just as it has FIXED the location of the GF.

Insecure? you mean like West Coast supporters constantly melting over a game their team didn't even play in

GF location gifted, gifted not earned (as all other finals) is an issue, that the Tiges are the latest club to take advantage is irrelevant IMHO.
An even bigger issue is clubs like Adelaide avoiding playing any good sides away yet somehow you claim they deserve a home ground advantage, Adelaide were only able to finish half a win above Richmond and unlike Richmond only played 1 top 4 side away, if it was a full proper home and away season where every team played each other both home and away Richmond would have finished higher than Adelaide
