Richmond can't even travel, lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Lets not knee jerk react either.

Eagles will be fine.
you get belted by the bombers and worry about the tigers.
eagles can't even beat lowly sides at home, let's not get ahead of ourselves...
that much wanted top two, home final is slipping away...see it? there it goes.

Inaccuracy and a horrid first half ruined us last night. No denying that.

Richmond would have rolled over to the saints earlier in the year had they not gotten their shit together late though, let’s not pretend your team is unbeatable at home.

We lost a game of footy to a team more determined and skilful on the night

I’m still Positive after a 10-3 start and a tough draw

We play every interstate team on the road this year Bar Gold Coast so wherever we finish we’ll have earned it

So let’s not bag our lads after one bad game ...we havee lost the same amount of games as Richmond and swans

I’m not going to melt over one bad loss ,...the season is a marathon not a sprint

We're the eagles the west coast eagles
And in Perth - rules don't apply
We're a big joke, kings of the big fix
We're the eagles our free counts high!!
How do the rules not apply if the free counts high? Surely in the case the free count would be low. Just ruins your whole argument when you use such bad logic.

In defence of the Eagles, most sides, most years have a game or two where they are absolutely horrid and often towelled up in an upset against lesser opposition. Even sides that go on to win the flag.

One or two of these games usually has no significance come end of the year, other than the team had a bad game. There are countless examples of top 4 sides getting smashed by weak opponents over the last decade.

I'm reading nothing into this game.

If somone had offered 10-3 before the season started YOU would take it

We sit in a good spot ......we looked fatigued ...6 day break ...travel ...and 800 goals out if our side in Kennedy and darling ...ffs people it’s one game

I suppose it's normal for Richmond fans to take umbrage when others say there are no great teams in the AFL and there hasn't been for some time. This is just obvious for seasoned footy observers.

Yes, the umpiring is disgraceful in the West.

And I fully expect to win tonight. But that won't change one thing I've said.
Port will smash you

West Coast showed just like most teams have a few key injuries and your side becomes very vulnerable.
EG Adelaide GWS WBulldogs GC.
Will be interesting next month to see how they perform without these stars.
If don't finish 1 or 2 cannot see them challenging for the flag.
Have to say the bias towards the WC from the umpires at home is becoming ridiculous.
Pressure from crowd noise or poor umpiring not sure.

here we go...woulda, coulda and shoulda.
wipe away those bitter tears.

and this stinks it right up.
no mention of that small factor called Essendon. They smashed you and had answers...credit where credit is due. Essendon ruined you.

a loss is never a bad thing.
there were worrying signs last night though.
Adelaide next weeks is huge for you.
You play Adelaide oval well so think you are big chance to bounce back.

Thats cute....they're 0-3 this season.

And? WC have lost two home games whereas Richmond are undefeated in home games at the MCG.
No point winning all your away games if you can't hold serve at home, especially as an interstate team.

And the losses Tigers have had:
-WC in Perth - top 4 team
-Adelaide at AO - last year's runner up, before most of injuries hit
-Port at AO - tough ground but also without Dusty and Tigers played like crap.

2 Brownlow medalists. All Australian Captain. Multiple Coleman medalist. High scoring team. Bottom 6 players who play their role very well.
Sounds like a pretty great team to me.
You're just being a bad sport.
It's unbecoming of you. Leave that sort of carry on to Geelong supporters.
I'll just say, someone has to win those every year...

Last time i checked away games arw worth 4 points
Home games are worth 4 points

Most stupid illogical arguement ive seen ever

This is just another result that confirms there's not a great team in the competition.

Richmond are probably the best, but they're not a great team in the historical sense.

Just a lot of good ordinary teams with a few a rung or two better than a wide pack fighting for finals.

Whoever wins the flag will be another team that made the most of a poor era.
It's not a poor era.
The Hawks threepeat side will be remembered as a great side. The last two years have seen a team rise to the challenge and dominate the finals, that's very typical. A side will rise in September this year, we just dont know who. If it is the Tigers then back to back flags elevates them as a dominant team and their players will be rated accordingly in time.
Or someone else could begin a great period of success, who knows.

Who would have thought Rfc would win flag after saints, saints!, mopped us up and made us look like absolute crap? One ha game = **** all really.

How so?
It was a rebuttal to the point that Richmond are 0-3 interstate this year. And yet despite this they are 10-3 and level with WC and Sydney. I could say the argument that Richmond's away record is bad is also 'stupid' and 'illogical' (and wrong, as I said they were good last season interstate, just had a rough schedule thus far).

I find the Bombers win confusing.
Usually the ability to travel Perth and Adelaide and win for an interstate side, indicates a very tough team. One ready to contend seriously.
Yet the Bombers play well interstate and then drop games they shouldn't.
I confess I have no idea how to rate them game to game.

Yup. Even Freo beat them relatively comfortably in Perth earlier this year. And then they smash the Eagles?

I would argue you have better form than them.
I pointed this out with head to head vs. carlton on same ground.
was met with deafening silence from eagles.
ladder positions make a lie of this but there is an argument to be had who has better form...eagles or freo.
freo for me.
