diamanda galas. not all of her work is easily classified as music. occasional two-mics, glossolalia, wide vocal range. classically trained and a serious set of pipes but chose a darker/bizarre path. you will have heard her in 'natural born killers'.

Bjork - My first exposure was her 'Its oh so quiet' song which I loathe, but have grown to love most of her songs. Such an epic and powerful voice.

Lets have someone with a unique voice from Australia, along with his little brother, for me the best ever Australian harmonica player. A couple of Camberwell High products. I saw them literally dozens of times in the 70's, always entertaining.
