Caracalla and Newman are way ahead at sniffing out the empty chair

Yze has been a very poor coach and needs experience and importantly, winning experience, next to him. Carracella was a good appointment but in true recent history form, our club cheap out on appointments and refuse to invest heavily into the football part of the business.

Underwhelming if this is it for our coaching structure in 2025.

Kinda agree with this, although i try not to judge these things as i have such little intel. The appointments may be great prospects of the future "The next Kingsley" types - but i agree re the the fact Yze sucked and his inability to handle the media screamed he needed experience alongside him. Outside of Caracella he hasn't added that. Promoting Morris might be a master-stroke, but essentially, you just used a prime role you could use to lure a high quality/high talented person & thinker to your club on someone you already had committed, long-term, to your club.


Smart people keep smarter people around them, whereas less skilled, talented people tend to keep people less experienced & less talented around them. One is comfortable in their capabilities while the other, is insecure

It’s just our process now.

We don’t want to invest in football anymore. It’s not our core business anymore.

All these other branches of the organisation have taken over. If all else fails, ask our members and supporters for cash.

We've looked inside the club cos we have a ****ing gem in Steve Morris that well and truly deserves a promotion.

We also got rid of dead weight Teague and replaced him with one of the highest regarded assistant coaches in the country in Caracella.

We could've put Lonergan in charge of the VFL side ahead of the external Batchelor...
