He was 10 points behind Tonci Stipanovic (I.E needed to finish 5 places ahead)

Burton made sure Stipanovic got caught at the back of the fleet, Stipanovic got baited into a counter move and hit Burton's boat, copped a penalty turn and finished 9th while Burton mowed down the field, finished 3rd and pulled off the Gold

Basically Stipanovic got baited into slowing down Burton, which is what Wearn has to avoid with Kontides
