danstar, in a way I agree with it. I don't get it when there has to be absolute quiet when serving. I mean could you imagine a full forward asking for the crowd to be quiet as they prepare to shoot for goal.
1) It's so ingrained in the tennis culture to have quiet and lack of movement
2) It's a high-precision sport that requires utmost concentration. Imagine a crowd going bonkers and moving around as a snooker player or a clay pigeon shooter lines up to take their shot. Even cricket players get to have that white blocker thing down behind the bowler.

Good call but I still think Tomic has joint ownership... just the way he plays his ground strokes especially, no sense of urgency and half arsed.
