The big one is here, and we again start on a Sunday. I am disappointed that Tennis Aus hasn't called this Sunday "day 0" or Opening Day or some other stupid gimmick like other sporting organisations have in the country. Such a missed opportunity.

I will be quite busy with work and life this Aus Open, but I will try to do the match schedules at the very least. But if anyone wants a go at previews and the like, they are more than welcome to start the threads.

this first round over 3 days has made the value around the ground a bit lacking...Always loved it back in the day when you had so much tennis going on, you didnt know where to look.

Match of the Day
Sabalenka v Stephens
it looks like it. A couple of grand slam winners going at it in the first round.....until you realize Stephens has lost 8 straight matches and Sab hasnt lost here since 2022.

Sab in 2.

poll, who is winning this Aus open?
For me, tough to go against the defending champs. Sab and Sinner.

Might be some arvo storms tomorrow as well.

I need to do my draws for predictions, I'll come back with that.

Bit of an underwhelming Day 1 tbh, but Day 2 OOP looks awesome.

Rybakina or Sabalenka, I haven’t seen much of Rybakina but should make light work of that draw.

Mens is impossible I’ll go Zverev but it’s not a confident pick I’d love Novak to win but doubt it happens

Nick playing at 7pm. Hopefully, he can put on a show and get the tournament started. Osaka and Garcia should be fine but that match should not be 2nd on RLA i feel personally. I hate it when they put the men first, as the womens can start way too late.
