Gosh I feel for Storm Hunter rupturing her anchilles heel after signing up to play doubles with Siniakova for 2024. And now Siniakova is playing great with Townsend and they won about three doubles GS plus EoY Championship last year. Hunter will find it hard to get back to some top form and to find a doubles partner.

Swiatek will be disappointed in her performance as she did not play up to her standard and she threw away victory in the third set.
wait for Sinner to win it and then strip the grand slam off him Jobe style

Except you do not understand the rules. If Sinner is suspended all his results will stand until that date.

Worst Australian Open for a long time.

How? Top 2 seeds in the final in the men. Top seed reaches final in the women’s (and likely wins). Off the court and crowds yep been a shocker on court it’s been great that most seeds justified where they were seeded

Not that many great matches, two awful men's semi finals, two possible lopsided finals, Danielle Collins, Medvedev, Zverev getting a clean image, disrepectful broadcaster, injuries, boorish crowds.

Been plenty of great matches. I tended to focus on the women’s and there’s been some cracking matches. Apart from Carlos/Novak haven’t watched a lot of the men personally. Loved the women’s tournament. We have got the obvious final in the men anyway hardly that bad a tournament anyway

I like watching Learner Tien and Keys was a good win ,Navarro vs Kastana, but I've seen better Opens from my view.

Rybakina vs Keys was fantastic albeit a few errors. Plenty on the women’s side were good.

It feels like there is a gradual increase over the years in players having to forfeit due to injury. Not sure where to go to compare stats on this to see if what I am perceiving is correct though.

Reality is many at the contending level are older and suspect to it. Novak hasn’t had this for years he’s usually played with it but whatever happens

6 this year in the Mens, I can't find another example more than 3. Probably just an outlier.

I can't see Keys being any match for Sabalenka but I hope I'm wrong.

I've followed Keys' career with interest after she beat Bouchard in an ITF tournament in October 2012 (Same night that Mark Clattenberg had an absolute stinker at Old Trafford). I tipped her to be the next big thing after that tournament, claiming she'd be the next Serena, win multiple Grand Slams, etc. Awful prediction in reality and her career has never met the heights I had expected.

Anyway, the way to beat Sabalenka isn't by taking her on at her own game. It's going to take more than power hitting to beat her... I'm wrapped Keys has made it this far but IMO a final involving Swiatek would have been much better and I'd have fancied Swiatek to be a very good chance at spoiling the three peat.

I can see Sabalenka winning 6-3, 6-4 or similar.

Damn. I wanted Shelton to win the AO, and to do the phone thing.
