He was serving the matchDraper is a good player and has lifted.
No doubt Kokkinakis is injured but feels like it's been a safety net for him his whole career. Sometimes you are just not good enough.

This isn't Demon.
Kokki is about a 2nd round, pushing for a 3rd type player in grand slams. Draper has been and will be beyond that.
He has no real faith in his body right now and said as much after his previous match. Call it an excuse but it's why it's unsurprising he hasn't breezed through this match.
It was always going to be a back and forth slog at best and the longer it went, the more it would suit Draper.
He was two points away from winning the match and couldn't handle the pressure of serving it out. Clear as day choke.Does not mean it’s a choke at all
Draper looked like he'd had enough half an hour ago. This is tennis. It's back and forth and they've been slogging it out for hours. Draper's class is showing through and it's wearing Kokki out.The Aussie spirit tho would be to never give up, got nothing to lose attitude but he looks spent and Draper looks as fresh as a daisy
You show good sportsmanship after or before the match not during itOf course he wouldn't do that! Then again I don't associate sportsmanship with him at all.

Actually, you show good sportsmanship during the match too. It's the reason so many people dislike players like Medvedev who act like spoilt sports.
Let him go play his doubles with Nick that’s all he’s good for now anyway…Good reason one is 15th in the world it’s all these little things. Every year we are talking about Kokkanakis and his body failing him. One thing I will say and I’ll say it again- if he wants to really contend (4th round onwards) at Slams you cannot be playing Adelaide type tournaments 3 days before r1, you need to be resting/practicing the week prior
I love Med he’s a character and not boring. Plus his interviews are gold

Yep, more often than not a sizable ranking difference plays itself in the end, when it's clutch time. The small margins and self belief get the better player over the line. That's what makes the upsets special. But it's also why the guys who get to pointy ends of tournaments have proven to get through tough matches like this. Even when the other guy is serving for the match.Good reason one is 15th in the world it’s all these little things. Every year we are talking about Kokkanakis and his body failing him. Reckon a lower ranked player then Kokk woukd have been capable of closing it outGive credit to the other guy who played a fantastic return game. He’s just a better player nothing more or less
I should have used a better example just for you.
Do you love Kyrgios too?

Draper is holding his serve too well now he’ll prob break soon and win
