Says the clueless stats man.....How much longer are you rusted on lefties going to keep on blaming Dutton/LNP for everything that goes awry?
It's almost 2 years now since Australia's saviour Airbus/ALP took office..

Well given the Coalition was in power for 10 years they have this whole term to identify ****ups, screwups, payoffs etc.

Quite simple really - identify the hoax that Dutton is. Lets be honest, he ****edup as Minister Sport, Health, Defence, Immigration and Home Affairs. Time to call him out methinks.

dutton was named the worst health minister in history by the industy!..

as immigration minister dutton tried to put border force officers on the streets to go around demanding visa documentation of anyone that didnt look Australian enough..

then, of course, he desperately tried to frame it as the media being hysterical.. caused they reported on it…

Hitler would be proud of hard righties like the potato head…

It's you that dodging the question not me, but then again no doubt if it had been former LNP Prime Ministers Scott Morrison, Tony Abbott, John Howard only then would you and your lefty bretyhren taken issue.

The question put to him was did he meet Alan Joyce prior to the decision and he lied....he could have answered yes and given his reasons but he chose to lie. If you can't understand that then it's you that has the problem not me.
Bahaha… tony abbott and morriscum have lied to parliment nearly every day they aer/were in the place!..

and his own side’s nickname for Howard was “the lying rodent”..

but the point is.. the decision on Qatar Airlines was made not because of anything Joyce wouldve wanted but because of the poor human rights record of the Qatari’s and the way they have treated those Aussie women (who they effectively sexually assaulted at gunpoint) when it happened and since..

so.. do you or do you not agree that restricting Qatar airlines access to this country’s airports is a good thing?..

Ummmm

Alan Joyce puts Albo’s son in Qantas Chairman’s Lounge

It’s easy to forget that Anthony Albanese has been in Canberra for a very long time. Entitlement to largesse is a lifelong practice.

The recent decision by the Albanese government to block Qatar Airways from launching 28 new flights per week between Doha and Australia has caused quiet amazement in the corridors of Parliament House.

Transport Minister Catherine King’s clarification last week elevated the matter to high farce. She insisted the decision was not related to a human rights incident at Doha Airport in 2020 and instead linked it to her desire “to decarbonise the transport sector”. That was such an arrant non sequitur that the only rational response was laughter.

To be understood, all of this must be viewed through the lens of Anthony Albanese’s incredibly tight relationship with Qantas CEO Alan Joyce, a bond that jars so badly with Albo’s misty-eyed working-class origin story.
Everyone knows Joyce personally curates the Chairman’s Lounge membership list. Did Qantas offer this extravagant benefit to Albanese or did Albanese request it for his son? When asked this week, neither the airline nor the Prime Minister’s Office would explain. But did any of them really think a university student sweeping into the Chairman’s Lounge like a lord wouldn’t stand out like dog’s balls?

Albanese has never disclosed Nathan’s membership in his statement of registrable interests with the parliament. The PM might argue it’s not required if his son is not technically a dependent (although the Labor leader did say in 2022 that “We’re close, we live together”).

Irrespective of the sophistry relied upon, his son has received this benefit only because of his father’s position. It should be declared, especially by the guy who was elected on an integrity platform. Ask yourself: would Ben Chifley have done this?

Otherwise, where does it end? Should young Nathan get an unlimited balance in his SportsBet account or perhaps a discount from Meriton on his first apartment, all beyond our line of sight?

I have sympathy for Nathan. This is not even about him. This is about the prime minister’s inability to resist a secret freebie, a sly gratuity of public office, or to grasp how compromised he looks.

Albanese was regulating Qantas as transport minister for six years in the Rudd and Gillard governments. What other favours might Qantas have done him (or those close to him) that he felt were unnecessary to declare?

It’s easy to forget Albo has been in Canberra for a very long time. Entitlement to largesse is a lifelong practice. He will barely have opened his own wallet in 30 years. Yet, he’s no worse than the next institutionalised MP, just one inhabitant of a swamp full of chancers.

Remember, it always starts small. It’s the little favours. Please, let the valet take your car. Only the best table in the house. Don’t worry, I know a guy. We’ll make your problem disappear. Before you know it, it’s become normal for your family to be ushered through airports like royalty.

This is what ultimately comes from public officials accepting gifts from Qantas, an industrial-scale, multi-generational influence peddler. They are better than the mafia.

What Australian company has in recent years done more to bleed mug punters and even its own workers? Qantas illegally sacked 1700 baggage handlers in November 2020 (all while sucking back $2.7 billion of non-recourse government COVID-19 subsidies). An appeal was heard in May by the High Court, where every presiding justice is a member of the Chairman’s Lounge.
So you are a Union fan now.

Never saw that on my 2024 Bingo Card.

I’m just astounded that a bloke of his age is so naive that he doesnt think politicians, no matter what side they come from, are bullshitters!..

Politicians from all sides are full of shit.. we all know it. All of them from Prime Minister down have always bullshitted in or out of parliament or the media.

But there’s only one person in here so unbeleivably infatuated with all things labor that they post endlessly about labor and not once will they ever criticise their beloved LNP for exactly the same things.

Still.. its clear that he finds it extremely difficult to deal with the nearly wall to wall labor governments in Australia presently..
He obviously loses sleep over it..

His obsession with Dan Andrews even now, months after Dan retired from being the Vic premier, is creepy..

It wouldnt be a surprise to hear he’s been stalking the bloke and his family!

But Mali and labor had all the answers. Blamed the Lib Govt for ramping and said they would fix it, and the suckers voted for this.
ALP made it a huge election issue last election, so guaranteed Liberals will make it a huge issue next election!

Need to fix the causes of the ramping, rather than thinking just adding more ambos is the answer.

Ie. Fix bed block issues (particularly mental health) & lack of 24 hour GP cover for lower triage patients.

I wonder what Ash the Ambo thinks 🙄

It's almost hilarious how SA Labor got away with the campaign, I daresay it's not as funny for the guy who died.

But where is the scrutiny from the media ?

Yeah, when it's 10 hours for an ambulance & someone needing assistance dies, that warrants a full investigation... as not even being busy is an excuse for that wait.

There are currently 77 people admitted & waiting for a hospital bed housed in our adult EDs.
This significantly reduces ED capacity.

With 9 people waiting over 24hrs for a bed and 22 waiting over 12 hrs.

Gather most waiting more than 12 hours are mental health patients too.

Sadly this has become the norm, so there needs to be a decent plan to address going forward.

The new mental health in the home service meant to be opening in the North in February. Need one in the South too.

Forgetting the politics 10 hours in an ambulance & someone needing assistance seems beyond belief. Labor or Liberal. This whole story needs more clarity. Surely someone was monitoring him, and he was not just sitting in the back of an ambulance on his own until he sadly passed. Sackings and criminal prosecution are required.

From what I understand it took 10 hours to pick him up after the call... not so much the waiting in the ambulance.

Fair enough. Not familiar enough with the story.
Do we know if the fault at the 000-call center and how they prioritized it or just a lack of resources?
The ambo service has the stand-alone medico's that come to your house to give assistance while waiting on an ambo. My Neighbour had an incidence awhile back with a drug related od issue and an assistant came out who followed up to the call out center.

Apparently was triaged originally as low priority, but he clearly deteriorated significantly by the time they attended.

Surely if there is a major delay, they should be checking up on the patient?

Just read the story in your attachment. Something appears dodgy with the Triage process. There will be some nervous people awaiting the enquiry. I can almost guarantee that the people at the lower end of the hospital food chain will get most of the blame.

"Ambulances were stuck at hospitals instead of being available for the community," the AEA statement said.
"This led to long delays in ambulance responses, and by the time an ambulance arrived for this patient, he had passed away."

"AEA industrial officer Josh Karpowicz said 17 crews were ramped at the Royal Adelaide Hospital that night.
He said patients were also ramped at the Flinders Medical Centre on the same night for up to seven hours, despite there reportedly being capacity in the hospital."

Big big difference between a Prime Minister bullshitting and knowingly barefaced lying to the Australian Parliament.

The only bullshitting here is Labor luvvies deflecting, goes to Albanese's honesty and integrity and their refusal to see what is so obvious.

This is the bloke that famously promised to restore integrity in Politics...Knowingly barefaced lying to the Australian Parliament breaches his promise big time.

You're missing the point. Yes, Albo lied - all politicians do. It's easy to tell when they're lying - their lips are moving.

The point is your hypocrisy.

You're very quick to call out Albo's lies, but you were conspicuously silent whenever the Liberal PMs were caught lying - and Scott Morrison was the biggest liar PM Australia has ever had. Your posting about Albo's lies would be a whole lot more authentic, if you hadn't spent the last decade failing to call our the Liberal PMs for doing the exact same thing.

FWIW, I'm actually on your side re: Albo lying about the Qantas/Qatar thing. I think Albo & King have performed extremely poorly on this issue.

This is where having a lame duck opposition hurts.

They won't lay a glove on the State Govt and you can almost see them coming out with more blame than the Govt

Maybe Labour could plan and then build a new hospital that would be the worlds most expensive hospital - surely that would fix the problem.....

Are you so naive you think things like this can be fixed overnight, with the click of the finger?
Ambos aren’t like cafe workers, you can’t just pull them in off the street and get them working straight away. They have to be trained, educated, mentored, paired up with experienced paramedics.
You don’t fix a decades long problem in a year or two. There is also a shortage of HCW in hospitals, particularly since the pandemic, it all adds to the problem.

Nope there have been far far more SA Labor Governments than Liberal Governments in the last 2 decades...they must take far far more responsibility than the Liberals, there is no argument...that is fact.

Speaking of naive you go to the head of the class

Absolutely.

Same principle applies Federally too when you persist in blaming the current ALP Government for all the energy problems... yet ignore that the Coalition ****ed up the energy policy for previous decade.

I'm all for making governments accountable... but we need to understand short term v longer term issues.

Turning a tragic death due to ambulance ramping/access block into a political point-scoring gotcha argument is pathetic.

This is not just an SA Health/SA Labor problem. It's happening across the country.
There really needs to be better Commonwealth & State bilateral discussions how to fix this going forward with a proper plan.

Since removing the covid restrictions, there has been increased pressure on both ED & beds with hospitalisations. Typically SA has 2-4 hospital wards full of covid patients. That's taking capacity from the system & adding to the bed block.

Means patients get stuck in ED & more now leaving without even been seen/treated... more ambulance ramping.

Yet, the emphasis has been on treating the symptoms not the cause.

Then there are all the long term disability & nursing home patients stuck in acute hospital beds.

We really need to look at the big picture...

After watching some of you blokes the last few years, this part of your post really takes irony to unprecedented levels.
