pick 1 walking into this team
Next year we see the big jump
We need pick 1 more than anything else, and we need to make pick 1 a real winner. Stuffed up with JHF (who is going to be a superstar that is better than any youngster we have), and we've missed out on Reid who again is probably going to be a superstar that is better than anyone we have.

Apparently they review all goals…how did that get missed?
Should be awarded to us tomorrow and the 4 points handed over
They did review it. And somehow didn't over turn it.
You could see the players waiting in the center square for it to be completed.

Imagine the backlash if an identical play happened against a big 4 team and they lost by a few points.

Clarko got some things right and wrong with our structure.

Teakle, Pink and Phillips did their jobs.

Didn't think subbing off Phillips and giving Shiels the Daicos job was the right call.

Plenty of positives but with Logue, Duursma, Simpkin, McKercher to come, our side on paper starts to look decent.

That hurt, to lose after playing so well and leading by 54 points is a real kick in the guts, but the fact we were leading the defending Premiers by more the 50 points after one of the most exciting halves of football we have played in 5/6 years can't be overlooked and is a massive positive going forward.

Any of the non-50s in the first three quarters when Collingwood streamed away from our free kick. Sometimes for 15-25 seconds. How the f*ck are they not called.

The umps orchestrated a brilliant chase down for the ages.
Interestingly, I said they’d give a shit one the other way which they did the daics.
AFL couldn’t be more scripted at this point

Umpires a disgrace

But a massive L for our team after being 9 goals in front.

The quicker we can replace McDonald, Tucker, Stephenson and Taylor the better we will be
McDonald was non-existent on crucial plays when he needed to crack in. Hecking disappointing from the captain.

Heartbreaking. Knew the comeback was coming but it didn't make it any easier to lose a game, one we clearly should have won, by a solitary point. It's the hope that kills ya

You under rate Wardlaw.

Absolutely robbed by these corrupt pieces of crap. Scott touched off the boot was as clear as day, fingers moved and goal not overturned. That was the difference. Then to just rub it in a little bit more the non 50 when 2 of their players run over the mark was unbelievable. Absolute cheating at its best.

TBH I think Fisher, McDonald, Tucker (and to a lesser extent Scott due to foot skills) is where we lost the game through the usual sh!t bombing of the ball to the opposition.
I am saying this as a fan of Scott, but considering the positives he brought with his running in the first half, I think he is well and truly safe.

We didn’t lose that because of missed umpiring calls. There are always missed calls both ways.
We lost because our midfield is currently unable to maintain the rage for a whole game, and because we dropped the Daicos tag.
It was a good display. We knew when we were 50+ points up that there was going to be a comeback.
The boys will learn from it, and be better for it.
While the win would have been great, it is unnecessary in the long term.
We have a similar opportunity against a depleted Melbourne next week. I just hope that we maintain the current form and effort.
