Surely he has to be one of the more disgruntled players at Essendon. The kid's going to be a gun and has played great football on the rare occasion that he gets picked.

We should be able to get him fairly cheap and he would light it up on the wing in a Saints jumper. It wouldn't surprise me if he played 200 games and we should get him while he's on the outer at the Dons.

I thought the Lovett trade would have scared St Kilda off trading with Essendon forever lol

If Knights had stayed I think there is no question he would have left but the new coach may be able to keep him at the club.

You're right I think he will be a gun, just wondering what opposition supporters think he is worth?

The reason opposition supporters are circling around the likes of Houli, Armitage and Matthew Warnock is the perception that they'll come cheap. Most offers will probably be along the lines of 3rd rounder and/or a fringe player.

Would not be all that unhappy with Raph involved in a play to pick him up, don't really like "fringe player" either since it breeds division and an immediate inferiority complex bec ause someone like Armitage might have been behind Hayes & Ball who at one time were AA, B&F, Captain... he's not "fringe" persay, he's just next cab off. Someone like Leigh Fisher who most would consider fringe on the other hand is getting the arse, so it's more necessary or unecessary instead of categories of particular players based on how much AFL they've played.

Houli, might be behind Dempsey, might be behind Stanton, might be behind Reimers, might still be worth a pick between 10 & 20, Legh Fisher, might be beheind a similar number of players but would then only be worth a PSD or 60+ pick, both could be considered fringe with how many games played.

I think he'd rather go to the GC. Best 22 there as well as probably getting paid more.

However, I'd be happy to have him at the Saints. I don't know if trading Raph is the best thing to do to be honest. I don't think that Essendon would want a Clarke to be honest. He's 25 and I don't think he'd add much worth to them. Knowing them, he'd probably be fringe there as well.

I'm just throwing it out there, but what about Dempster? Could Essendon use a Dempster-type? Who have they got in regards to a lockdown role? Henry Slattery? If Essendon are serious about Chris Knights, they could get a Dempster to play lockdown and trade their Slatterys for Knights. Then again, Dempster is still of use at the Saints.

Food for thought I guess...

Oh, and I put Houli's worth at about Pick 40-50. Value has decreased massively. I think the coach there should hold onto Houli as you'll get more out of playing him than trading him but I'm happy to swoop if they don't need him.

Dal Santo use to be like that as well Big Ted. It's a wonder what a new coach can do for someone.
Two words.

Brett Peake.

Mark Harvey = Dud ; Ross Lyon = Gun.

Thankyou, that is all.
