How far would that shit house ship of fail need to fall to reach Carlton levels?

I don't think even Naifan could get them that low.

Carlton does crash and burn almost as well as wining the big ones...

whereas Collingworth are so ...brave in their fails.

Top ups are only hanging around for a year, though. We have only two thirty or more players on our list able to play- Goddard and Cooney- and neither of them are what you'd call tough.

For a year to provide a bit of hardness to protect the kids, I don't mind Crowley. He's past his best but, well, these are top ups and you're not likely to land world beaters in the form of top up players.

Logic has no place in the banter thread.

Essendon could do alot worse than Keanu Reeves this year I guess ;)

Much better.
But I think James Hird has done a pretty good job of ******* Essendon though.
Should mint a new trophy for our games, I reckon.

The Elliot-Hird Cup. To be awarded to the loser in perpetual honour of two men who well and truly ****ed their clubs.

Bigfooty over confidence is one thing, sadly it also reflects the view from inside Carlton.

They are more prone to the intoxicating scent of their own emissions than any club in the game.

Waiting for the press on puff piece to not only show if he is, or is not wearing a hat... but also to confirm the he is doing midfield drills.

That's not actually true. Back in the old days, the affluent Carlton effluent used to run through the streets of Collingwood. Your former fellow supporters developed a taste for it. They continued to eat shit in Grand Finals for years to come. Admittedly they tried to throw some back from time to time (McGuane for example) but if anyone had no choice but to tolerate the smell of the shit we gave them, it's Pies supporters.

So endeth the history lesson.

Peter McKenna played his best footy at Carlton.

So did Craig Davis. I think it's because they just looked classier in Navy Blue.

While we are talking history, we all know that Helen D'Amico won the 1982 GF for Carlton as the Richmond players had never seen a real woman outside of magazines but did you know that she also distracted the guy doing the line marking before the 1979 GF, causing one of the forward pockets lines to be askew.

Ms D'Amico is actually a 2 time premiership player for the Carlton Football Club and missed our team of the century by 36, 24 and 36 votes.

Look it up.

Yeah....but watch out for the back-flow.:)

He can be blamed on St Kilda, Richmond, Footscray and West Coast as well. They all fed the ego and we were seduced by it.

I can understand why It's easier for you to talk about Footy from 30+ years ago.

As a dedicated, passionate Adelaide supporter, I would ask you to skip forward to an era of National importance. Your little backwater state rivalries are irrelevant.
