The Thunder bring back their big guns for tonight's crucial match. A Thunder win would be them in a good position for the finals but if the Renegades lose they are out.

Sydney Thunder
Mike Hussey (c)
Jacques Kallis
Aidan Blizzard
Shane Watson
Ben Rohrer
Andre Russell
Andrew McDonald
Chris Green
Chris Hartley
Clint McKay
Gurinder Sandhu
Fawad Ahmed
Usman Khawaja

In: Hussey, Khawaja, Sandhu
Out: Patterson

Hussey and Khawaja will come in for McDonald and Patterson (already omitted). The last spot comes down to whether they prefer Green's all-round contributions or Sandhu who was omitted last game after receiving a Lynn beating.

Melbourne Renegades
Cam White (c)
Tom Cooper
Chris Gayle
Tom Beaton
Dwayne Bravo
Peter Nevill
Aaron Ayre
Chris Tremain
Cameron Gannon
Cameron Stevenson
Xavier Doherty
Ben McDermott
Nathan Rimmington

In: McDermott, Rimmington

Stevenson impressed with his pace in Rimmington's place so he could retain his spot with Rimmo himself not bowling that well. Victorian backup keeper Ayre played as a specialist batsman but was out first ball. They could well prefer to include Rimmo as an extra bowler in an attempt to combat the Thunder's frighteningly strong batting lineup.

The Thunder have a very strong side on paper.

Gayle plays his former team and has the opportunity to make a big statement against them.

Also Watson has said a few words about Gayle in the past week so will add to the contest.

Rohrer and Fawad come up against their former side too.

Renegades have to get their bowling right to have a chance. Maybe batting second may be the way to go. Backing Rimmington to come into the side and perform.

Watson to get 80 not out from just 50 balls.

Thunder might return to their scary early season form with Hussey and Khawaja back in the team... I'd hate to be the ones playing them in the semis.

If the top 4 stays as it is, we should have two pretty good semi finals.
