A nice counterpart to the fun Ugliest Cars thread.

Nothing will ever surpass the Alfa Romeo Spider for me personally, both the original and the current model.

The best of both worlds, 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO and the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO SWB California Spyder for me.

Or maybe the 69 Ferrari Dino 246 gt,

or the 66 ford gt40

or the 62? AC Cobra 289. Hard choices...

How was the Valiant to own/drive?

It wasn't bad to be honest, took awhile to get used to the push button automatic but didn't mind the style or fitout of the interior.

Only problem was the amount of rust in unprotected\not rustproofed cars due the amount of salt used on roads to clear ice during Michigan winters.

I didn't realise how rusted the frame was until a tie rod came out as the chassis rail gave way at 50mph
Hard to drive with the front wheel rubbing on the wheel well!

A couple of metal plates bolted through the chassis and reattached the tie rod end and back on the road in a couple of days

Took it paddock bashing once the Nova was ready, stripped the plates and left her to rust away in the scrub.

Nice idea for a fred, yes the Alfa Spyder (?) is very nice, although he new one sounds terrible to my ears.

I have a great deal of love for my Germans :)

and I would search for one of these mopar muscle cars if the lotto numbers would come up: 426ci, 425HP, drive it between servo's and to my mate's place who has a Tesla :)

A real (affordable) drivers car.
a mate of mine had a Lotus Elise, supercharged, but its a toughened Toyota Corolla engine!

Very much holds its own among cars twice is price range even being the little engine that could. That being said she's a no fuss interior.
agreed, its like sitting in a go-cart.

This would be my one if money was no object

I always regret not buying an old Porsche as my first car it had no roof and was only 10 g (which was a lot back then but not that massive)
The roof would have cost about the same and then I had to work out where to park it when it rained while I saved up
So the brain won out over the heart.

hold the phone, how could I forget this ultimate 911?

911R - The 911 R was sold out the moment Porsche product planners conceived the brief: 500 naturally aspirated horsepower, six-speed manual, production run of 991 cars.
