It wont be round 1, but this is what Im hoping for at some point, with the some further fading in of FOS, George, W.Dawson throughout the year. We probably need Teakle or CCJ in at some point for balance.

I think both the current captains will find themselves in the VFL at some point, which is why neither can hold the role imo.

We will have injuries, but I must say, that VFL side could be utterly dominant. No longer playing midfielders in KPP, it's got height, size and speed and a few preseasons in most positions. As well as some really talented players.

Guys like Stephens, Ford, Tucker, Fisher will shit on the level and we've seen CCJ kick bags and Pink was one of the best state league defenders in the country in the SANFL.
Interested to know who people think we will beat next year ? Name the teams. Is it 5 on the bench next year ?

Suns
Essendon
Richmond
Pies
Eagles
Richmond
Adelaide
Hopefully we jag a few wins against some teams but I think realistically we win 7+ wins next year.
Realistically? That would be 3 years of wins, not saying we won't improve but 7 is a hopecast, not a 'realistic' forecast.

Dees
Pies
Dons
Tigers
WCE

It’s going to be a remarkably even comp though and my hunch is teams will go on good runs for 3/4 weeks but ultimately anyone can beat anyone, except for probably Richmond.

Yes realistically!
Suns we match up well with them and it’s in Adelaide.Unfortunately imo we will be 0-4 by then and will be desperate for a win.
Richmond we play twice and will beat them.
Essendon we play round 8 and that’s around the time they drop off in the past 2 years, so we have every chance to beat them.
Pies at Marvel and we are a huge chance and again match up well.
Eagles in Bunbury? Yes fecken please.
Adelaide at Marvel and the last game to finish the year off strongly.
We also have every chance to nab a win or 2 against other teams.

We have the talent to beat anybody, if it clicks and we're healthy. Some big "ifs" but improvement isn't linear when you have a ton of young talent.

We had Xerri, Comben and Archer absolutely lock themselves into the best 22 with their improvement last season. If we have 2 or 3 guys from the Ford, Goater, Maley, Hardeman, RHJ, Konstanty, Dawson, Duursma group do similar this year then we will have a very strong best 22.

Agree sorta!

What is net result though, given LMAC and Simpkin's apparent decline.

Up 2?

Sheezel, Xerri, LDU, Wardlaw, Mckercher, Larkey, Logue, Archer, Powell & Comben.

Then you have the likes of Scott, Zurhaar, Corr, Curtis, Goater & Hardemann ushering FOS, Duursma, W Dawson, & MWhitlock from developing through to hopefully, reliable contributors.

Still leaves plenty that can go either way, Ya Tuckers, Ya RHJs, Ya Stephen, Ya Fishers, Ya Goads, Ya Phillips', Ya Paynes etc.

We're looking much better, but we should be!

Archer Logue hardamen
Corr Comben Daniel
FOS Wardlaw Colby
Parker darling jy
Curtis Larkey Zurhar
Xerri LDU Harry

This isn't a thing. He had a better year this year than last year and his post bye season was significantly better than last season. Before the bye this season he had multiple injuries (head, hand and thigh iirc) afterward he averaged nearly 25 touches a game and 3 goals every 4 games, which is about as productive as he's ever been.

Having done my best 23 multiple times since Wednesday, it’d be utter insanity if Fisher, Tucker & Stephens are in our best 23 without significant injuries.

Difficult to fit LMac in also.

Basically if these guys play now, it’s at the expense of a highly touted youngster.
Which is hilarious because they were brought in as our assistance package.

And they’ve done sweet **** all.

I actually missed the 1st half the season, so can't really comment, but I can see (using the world-renowned eye test) him struggling a bit more due to his concussion issues or fitness or whatever. I just feel he isn't as effective as he once was, maybe that's just me, I don't know (hope it isn't correct for our sake).

Undersized, not quick, not particularly clean or skilled... just strikes me as a battler whereas he was excellent a few years back.

Just my 2c.

He takes more of a backseat and does alot more blocking and work off the ball from what I've seen live this year. In that disgraceful game against Hawthorn he was one of about three players who never stopped trying.

The bolded part can also be said about our side

If Goater, Scott and Ford are right to go then they play. Unless he pulls something dramatic I can't see O'Sullivan playing round one. He may work his way into the team. It's obviously all speculative
