A lot of shows are HUGE overseas but that doesn't mean there good. They just have a bigger population.

David Hasslehoff is a big music star in Germany but no one else gives a shit about him.

If the English version is anything to go by it's full of a bunch of wannabees who act all friendly to each other at the beggining before bitching behind each others backs the whole time.Everyone watching it on TV ends up hating most of the people-when they are let out they think they are some big bloody star who is gonna get their own TV show or record deal then after about a month no-one wants to know them anymore so they just slink away to crawl back under the rock they came from.

I watched maybe 20 minutes of the first episode of our version and couldn't take any more after that. Complete rubbish.

It was a complete ratings disaster and wasn't renewed. I'd be really surprised if it did any better here.

But then again, our Sale of the Century was cancelled in like 1987 and you still have it. Go figure.

The American version last summer(ours) was a big flop. The first two people voted out by the 'houseguests' were the most combative and thus the most interesting. After that it was a real dud of a show. The network(CBS) tried to publicise it by staging all kind of 'phony' challenges, but it never cought on as well as Survivor did. Big BrotherII has been advertising on TV for applicants so I guess it will be a summer fill in again. I just hope we don't get the same type of characters, such as the memorable(?) Chicken George! If I wanted to watch such boring people, I'd prefer a live feed from the White House! Chicken George II... hmmm..... ;)

Ever imagine trying to tell your 10 year old brother what bondage is? :D I think I left him thorougly confused!

I know who the moron of the group is allready, the guy who tried to chop the wood with the splitter and not the axe. The stupid dumb arse used them the wrong way around.

Overall though, the show looks pretty crap to me. Its waaaaayyyyyyy to boring and nothing will ever happen. How does a person win anyway and how much they get?

Stealth, maybe Sale of the Century was cancelled after the producers failed to find anyone smart enought to answer any questions. ;)
Vis, I agree, that guy is a moron. I haven't laughed so much in a long time. I kept wishing that the splitter was going to break, but that a piece would fly off into his face. :D What about the way he threw ice around and hit that chick in the face. A real braniac.
Anyway, overall this show is crapola, but I'll watch it because of that.

Hey Stealth Bomber

Interesting you talk about Sale of the Century being a flop in the Sates and an institution here.

The exact reverse has happened with Jeopardy.

It was tried here in Australia - and lasted less than a season but I understand its an a total institution in the states ...

Just on the Big Brother thing - why would anyone want to watch a whole bunch of very ordinary, shallow and dumb people being absolutely horrible to each other ? Who are they anyway ?

Nobodies - and pretty offensive nobodies at that.

Do yourself a favour and watch the ABC News instead.

cheers

If I wanted to watch some idiot sitting around in their house doing stuff all I'd just set up a camera in my lounge and connect it to my tv.

I thought that was a good show Jeopardy- only thing was having to answer questions by phrasing it as an answer. Whats the point of that, and how does it add to the show ???

I could give you an answer but it would be questionable ;)
