I would love to see Arcade Fire insanely talented bunch.

The Battles would be interesting.

But as a student i cant justify the cost + i dont want to hang out with all the rage fanboys.

Besides RATM and Bjork there's nothing worth seeing.

Bjork?

Really?

RATM is probably worth the admission price alone though.

Are the Hoods coming to Perth? Well worth the 100 odd bucks to see the masters of Aussie hip hop Dizzy. :thumbsu:

From all reports Bjork has a crazy light show. Plus I don't mind a few of her songs.

And Esti, Aussie and Hip Hop should never go together. They just shouldn't.

Musically, all Australia has ever been good at is Pub Rock.

And as for Arcade Fire, I really don't see why people are creaming themselves over this bunch. I downloaded a few of their tracks and damn near fell asleep.

I'm not exactly endorsing it either.

Frankly AC/DC have never done it for me.

I'm just saying, it's just about the only music genre we've been king of, albeit not a good one.

But who knows, someday perhaps you'll hear of some rockstar named "Dizzy" corrupting the youth with songs about graverobbing and the bride of Frankenstein and perhaps he'll give Australia something it can... well... almost be proud of.

It is going to be great, if you haven't been of course you wouldn't understand. The atmosphere and the chance to see some of the great muscians perform live is something you've got to experience.

Sometimes I wonder how you could possibly be 25 GJ. I'm not basing that solely on your taste in recreation either.

Looking forward to Rage (of course), Dizzy Rascall, Cool Keith, Paul Kelly, Bjork and there are a few others that slip the mind at present.

Its going to be epic :thumbsu:

I reckon it'd be fun. Want to eventually go to one BDO it my lifetime.

I went to RockIt when Green Day and Simple Plan toured, Scribe, Shihad and bands like that performed. Was pretty awesome actually, Green Day went off!!! Being able to finally go to a concert by myself was pretty special :D

Deadset awesome day. The only let down was the fact that I did my back in being slammed up against the middle barrier during Rage and had to bail out after Sleep Now in the Fire.

Saw most of the Juggernauts, Hilltops, Karnivool, Billy Bragg, The Nightwatchman, Grinspoon, Silverchair and Rage, so I'm a happy man.:thumbsu: Only downer was missing out on Arcade Fire.

The last time I went was 7 or 8 years ago when Foo Fighters, Primal Scream, Chilli Peppers, Basment Jaxx and Chemical Brothers were here. Line ups have been disappointing since then.

Anyone know why the sound cut out around the start of RATM??
Tech Fault??
I'm glad they got it fixed quick. Could've been a riot.
Great set by RATM, but I was on the embankment watching from the western end and the sound was awful. I was rather quiet for a large outdoor concert.

I was actually slightly underwhelmed by Rage. I still think they were great, and am glad I paid to see them, but I've seen better rock festival sets in my time.

Wel, I agree with you there. I have enjoyed myself more and been to better festivals. Still, I doubt I'll get the chance to every see RATM again.
I'll maintain that it wasn;t very loud for an outdoor festival.

Now... of to Iron Maiden...:thumbsu::thumbsu:

There was actually a giant Eddie walking around on stage as well... posibbley robotic....

There were a few drunk on the train ride home that moved in a robotic fashion as well..;)
