PM Jim Boy and he'll delete it manually until we have a delete function available to users. :thumbsu:

The tipping system is very basic due to time, and we also want to grow it as we see people using it and get requests and suggestions in. Right now it is an almost-blank canvas.

Is it possible to get a link to the tipping comp on that top bar where My BigFooty and everything else is? At the moment the only way to get there really is the banner at the top of the screen.


Maybe even put it in the Quick Links section?

I'm running a comp at work and would like to see the names of all the people that have entered (rather than just how many). Can you please facilitate this?

Yes, once the ladders are up you will be able to see all the people. Sorry it is a bit weak on the comp admin side right now, but that will be improved over the next week or so. We thought it most important to get the bare bones out there before round one.

Let me know if there are any other private comp admin functions you'd like. :thumbsu:

If you are signed up to two comps, do you put your tips in twice, or does it automatically put them in to all comps you are joined up in?

Yes, they are time-stamped so we know when people tipped. The bug is now fixed and we will shortly decide what to do with tips for that match.

Email going out now:

* Join BigFooty Tipping now and still score the win for the Richmond/Carlton game.

* Next week's prize doubled to $100.

Poor Jim Boy.

Doesn't even know how to tell the time.

The tipping system was not adjusted for Australian time and as a result didn't cut off after last night's game started.

When it was noticed early in the night Jim Boy (creator of our tipping system) was unavailable to fix the issue, apparently passed out drunk celebrating the lifting of the alcopops tax!

(He was actually passed out drunk at a gallery opening - and had the audacity to ask me to plug it in this email! The nerve of the man!! PLUG: http://green-woodgallery.com/?module=exhibitions )

As a result:

* Everyone in the tipping comp gets a win for last night's game.

(This means everyone, whether you joined yesterday, join today or at any time until the end of the season. Usually if you join late you'd get the underdogs so this is a bonus 1.7 points for everyone.)

* However, only people who DIDN'T enter their match tip after last night's match started will have their tie-breaking margin counted for this round's weekly prize of $50. It's only fair.

* I'm doubling next week's prize for best score of the round, from $50 to $100.

* Jim Boy is being sent to a drying-out facility after he puts my bets on at the TAB, fetches my dry-cleaning and takes a remedial course in telling the time.

* Big hand, little hand, second hand Jim Boy!


Thank you to everyone who has shown understanding as we get this new tipping system up and running. BigFooty people are the best people.

I'm sure you probably won't believe me but I'll try anyway.

I tipped Carlton, changed it out of curiosity afterward, then changed it back to Carlton.

In the unlikely event that I'm the "winning" tipster, do you have access to the "original" tip and the time it was input?
