I would say yes, but it is worth asking.is that suitable to say that the page was started long enough ago?
A potential silly question regarding this rule:
Rule XI (The Wikipedia Rule): To be qualified as a legitimate nomination, each pick must have their own Wikipedia page that was started earlier than the two years prior to the start of this game. As an example, a Wikipedia page started January 6th, 2023 would not be eligible for the 2025 game however a page started December 17th, 2022 would be eligible. Any picks that don't comply with this rule will be void. The sub will not replace any ineligible picks. Players are responsible for their own lists.
---
What happens if you're considering a person for your list and you can see that their original wiki page was created a significant enough time ago to be eligible, but there's now a "newer/current" version which shows a creation date within the last 2 years?
When you look into the edits & page history, it still shows all the edits from what's now classed as the "old version" going back over a decade - is that suitable to say that the page was started long enough ago?

I too had Jody GormleyAnother fun one I had is that at the start of the month I started putting together a short list of names from those I added to a note pad throughout the year, along with those who hadn't died this year - when I started looking at my list this morning one of those names I had only just added a few weeks ago has already unfortunately passed away
He was the one I mentioned earlier who I had on my list and found out through random browsing that he died.I too had Jody Gormley
If someone died 2 years ago, but it's only announced in 2025, it wouldn't count.
However
If that persons family were to say, with no evidence to the contrary, that the death didn't occur until 2025 - that the person had "merely" been comatose for the past 2 years - would I get those points?
(I don't know how obvious it is who I'm talking about!)
I would guess at Schumacher, Kim Jong Un or Princess Bajrakitiyabha
Or I could be completely wrong
The wiki page I use usually has death announced on this date - it's then a matter of checking obits etcIf someone died 2 years ago, but it's only announced in 2025, it wouldn't count.

As above, GreyCrow's message is the nail on the head. Feel free to pm this one through though and we can take a look.If someone died 2 years ago, but it's only announced in 2025, it wouldn't count.

I can't seem to PM you either, do you have a setting that restricts this? Can someone help me?
I've spent 2 hours putting my list together, and the Group message won't let me attach any participants.
What am I doing wrong? Obviously no one else is having this issue?
