There'd no x factor ... but if he can get 30 a game, 1 or 2 goals, high disposal efficiency... don't need x factor. Like matt crouch, but with more athleticism and faster?

Sounds like someone who can really hold the midfield together.
Pretty happy with Dowling here, 24 on my overall rank. Good kid, runs AFL patterns and has the size we are in need of. Will play plenty of footy for us.

Billy's future definitely in the midfield for mine, with that running and ball-winning capacity
so I was working tonight so haven't watched any of the draft and the threads are too big to follow - what did we trade to get back into this draft? I thought the F/S bid on MM pushed us out to pick 60 odd
Traded 79, Our future 2nd, Collingwood's future 3rd for 43, GC's future 2nd and Geelong's future 3rd. Used 43 on Dowling.
Then traded Geelong's future 3rd to Brisbane for pick 50 and picked Bond.
To be honest it's probably that you can watch a game without noticing him despite the stats saying he's been dominant.

Much more athletic and overhead mark than Matt.
I think a couple of Burgess preseasons to make him more of a running machine and his ceiling is quite high.

Na, we still need to use our first pick next year on a mid.
We did this recently with Pedlar and Jones (although he hasn't worked out) didn't we? And more than likely would have went with Hollands had he not done his ACL, we also invested in Gallucci with our late 1st rounder.
