Scroll up the page, up a bit more, a bit more, there. The club statement literally says bulging disc.Yeah, a bulging disc is different from a herniated disc or one that has compressed the spinal nerves

As I posted last week I was told it was a nerve block procedure not an operation. Clearly they decided to go another way.
All we can do is trust them.
Have a good Christmas everyone
Apparently Bulging disks can repair themselves so it would seem logical to go down a conservative path for a period of time. Surgery is a much riskier option regardless of how often results are positive.
Think we now have the depth to cover and opportunity potentially knocks for someone.
No, when you are making a claim, semantics, nor creative license should be used
Inside source, of a conversation that was had 6 weeks before the end of the season, being shared now? A little to convenient for me
Lol at bring on Jack Carroll, Hollands type of comments... just LOL
We aren't replacing batteries here..
It’s not our training grounds that are of concern, more Marvel Stadium. Concrete not too far below the playing surface.I may be wrong but I feel like I've heard mumblings in the past of Princes Parks surface not being the be best and perhaps also contributing to our injuries.
Iirc it was the hardness of the surface as opposed to instability or anything like that.
Maybe I'm wrong but perhaps someone else can confirm that this has been mentioned once or twice in the past?
It’s not our training grounds that are of concern, just too many of our supporters. Concrete not too far below the surface.
Or Cuners?Having a buldging disk myself, which flairs up from time to time and pinches on a nerve causing horrible sciatica. I know how frustrating this injury can be.
I also know how quickly it can just seem to go away though.
Once Walsh gets it right, I'm sure he will be able to keep it under control.
I'm 35 now and it's been under control for a few years with no flair ups. Try to run about 70kms per week and the back has been holding up fine with that... obviously not playing any contact sports anymore though.
I'm very confident Walsh will bounce back. Consimate professional who will leave no stone un turned in his re-hab.
In the meantime it's a huge opportunity for someone to stand up.
Either Doc into the midfield and someone else to stand up down back.
Or Dow/ Carroll et al to step up and lock down a spot.
It sucks big time we won't have worpa there early season, but let's get him right for the finals campaign.
Still very optimistic for our 2023 campaign.
Arn Baggers
Exactly what i thought. The fact that the club said they will be able to provide more clarity around his return "after" the first month of the season suggests to me they have already ruled him out for the first month.
Not even in full training after what is now an 18 month lay off so I wouldn’t be holding my breath re Cunners…Or Cuners?
Interesting that players take longer to recover, after playing there.

And Merry Christmas to you ya miserable prickmy favourite so far is ding dong's effort "one of the complications with any spinal surgery is that the wound does not heal properly and you get cerebrospinal fluid leakage"........
And what actually does bust mean? Definitely don't recall Sayers using that word. Expectation was used, but really, as Ricky Bobby's dad once said, "if you ain't first, you're last"Once again, can you show me when Sayers said it was finals or bust?
This may help, or more likely not
No Oppo Supporters - 2022 Season - Season in review
you need the bitterness of failure to fuel the hunger of success. Just off the top of my head, using recent examples. Geelong were humbled in 2008, after a dream run 2007 Hawks went on to win three after getting done by swannies Tuggers were universally laughed at after repeated finals...www.bigfooty.com
Happy to wait for you to find it
cheers, fella - just wish my ingrown toenail would heal and quit leaking cuticofluid all over the place - bloody lying foot surgeon.........And Merry Christmas to you ya miserable prick
What's he playing? Call of Duty?Well I’m confident that he will be play Round 1.
The fact that they delayed his surgery should inform us that it was not severe enough to go straight to this option, that it was considered that it may come good with conservative Mx . Now that it hasnt improved, does not negate the fact that it wasnt considered severe enough for surgery straight away.Hope your all well mate. I had the same emergency surgery because of the cauda equina nerves being impacted. 5 years on i am not the same and still have flare ups from time to time and i am in no way a professional athlete.
I wish Sam all the best but i would not expect him to play for at least half the season.
