Not a bad call when Pitto is back but presumably Weiters will also be back.

We are short key position options no matter which way you look at it

We can't even bring Williamson in who would've eventually be an option as you progress down the list.

Based on available stock with the height, if Durdin genuinely is not ready and will be a lamb to the slaughter, then JSOS for mine is a viable choice - decent mark and has the smarts.

Young and Durdin in the backline puts even more responsibility on Doc to really lead the troops in the back half.

That Levi bloke would be handy...

It’s time to delist Marchbank at seasons end; unfortunately his body cannot stand up to the demands of an AFL player. Regardless of positional need, there comes a point of no return.

As for Andrew Russell, this is the final piece in the jigsaw puzzle, overpaid and the injury lists since his appointment have been horrendous. Time for a reset on player management; losing his bloated wage could see the club hire two replacement staff.

(note, not all clubs updated this week). Woohoo, we're not last...

Expected player return by opposition/week:

As always, expected return dates are mostly mine, based on best estimate from what the club says.

Can I remind you and others that Russell is the conditioning guy, with some other strings to his bow. He is not a bloody doctor.

Kemp ahead of JSOS I would think

Marchy is the only one I would keep. He’s got finals big game player in him more than the other two. Just plays the right way. He’s also been extremely unlucky with half his injuries as opposed to the other two who seem to have chronic ailments.
Not sure which one to keep out of Mitch or Marchbank, maybe Mitch just.... Marchbank has had 5-6 years of bad luck!!

Did the review of the club include injury prevention and conditioning?

I know lots of players have been injured during the games, but do we teach any techniques/ methods to reduce risk of injury during games?

We’ve copped so much and while it’s bad luck, that is a causal factor in the midst of many other causal factors that need to be investigated!

We have been absolutely hammered by injuries the last year or two. We have the worst injury list in the competition at this point.

I know the positive spin is that with full availability and Voss at the helm we’d be a genuine Premiership hope but it’s hard to remain positive. Injuries every week to key personnel.

Nah he's the name I know so I'm gonna pretend I know better and direct my baby rage at that. Cause I am a fan who knows best.

Meanwhile. Marchbank will be shattered. **** me. Shattered for him.

Shattered for Caleb. Just desperately unlucky. Can only imagine how he is feeling today, I hope everyone at the club gets around him and gives him all the support necessary to get through another setback.

A complete lack of class, from top to bottom. Do better.

I don't understand the outrage?

Why keep someone on the list who clearly isn't built for the high intensity professional sports. I'd move on at years end. Gotta take emotion out of it.

It’s a fair comment if it’s a lot of soft-tissue injuries, however the bloke really has just been very unlucky. Many unrelated injuries, most of which have been s*** luck.

Poor form

It's ******* bullshit, all of it.

How is a 22 year old non-injury prone Cerra pulling a hamstring 10 minutes into the game?

And Marchbank meniscus... I'm now convinced the guy has an undiagnosed connective tissue disorder, this is ridiculous. He must have low-grade Ehlers-Danlos or something.
How does Cerra pull a hamstring 10 mins in? Possibly because he was too lazy in doing warm up exercises on a cold night. As for Marchy, I think that, intuitively, you are on the money. It sounds like Marchy has a body that isn’t suited to AFL football. If that is so then he should be let go at the end of the year. Poor Vossy. So much coaching potential only to have it cruelled by persistent injuries.
