I have to say, I haven't quite given up on Martin yet, haven't quite let him go.

I can see a reality where we play in the GF this year (gasp, I know)...

Jack's the kind of role/specialty player we will need to snatch one. We need to stop thinking about him as a starting 18 player - he's a pinch-hitter, off the pine.

From what I can see he's a burst player absolutely capable of a cameo that could tip a tight contest our way.

It could be a 5 minute burst in the middle or up forward. (hoping his calves can withstand it).

Others will need to do the heavy lifting - Martin will never be that guy.

Let's see him for what he is & extract his value off the bench.

Once we get Hewett and Walsh back, that list isn't looking 'too' bad.

The rest are really depth. Martin/Cottrell/Marchbank/Cuningham may all feature at some point but are realistically depth.

Slowly getting them back isn't as big an issue. Taking 6 points so far has helped a lot.

A fit and in form Cuningham is much better than a depth player.

Sadly, I don’t think his body is going to allow him to play regular football.

Do you imagine for a moment that he's just kicking back thinking how sweet it is.
I more likely suspect that that the pressure of not being on the park, doing his job, supporting his club is a burden that weighs heavily on Jack.

Looks like a regular bandage, as opposed to a compression bandage. So its probably not a strain or sprain

There was always the possibility that there might be some collateral damage along the way but the club believed that the pay off would be seen during the season with battle hardened bodies ready to absorb what was thrown at them?
