Seriously tho Marchbank , Cunners & Martin still out & not back til even playing until Rd 10 at any level minimum is an absolute farce... 3 blokes I rate & starting 22 " fit" .... what were these guys programs in the pre season after 3 - 4 years with the same problems & recurrences.

If they were not confident than hard decision at the end of last year needed to made with atleast a couple of them.

Sorry I’m just not seeing Marchbank as best 22 even if fit. If everyone is fit we have better options imo like Kemp and McGovern. Depth player.

Why rush them back when their careers are on the line? Better to get them 100% right and give them a final crack later in the year. If they break down>Gonski. If they come back shadows of their former selves>Gonski. if on the other hand they come back and cement their place, then they are worth persisting with

Because their bodies are cooked. Jesus would struggle getting them back on the park. If we were in a position to pay out Martin’s contract, I would.

By the by, they’re apparently in full training and could all line up in the VFL this week or the week after. Of the three Martin is the most likely to keep his body together long enough to play a game or two of AFL.

AFL website now has Cuningham, Martin & Marchbank at 1-2 week calf…

Have they re-injured them? Last report they were to commence training?

I can see why we haven’t put Cuningham, Martin & Marchbank on the LTI, for MSD picks…

We already have 2x too many on the list, with O’Keeffe and Cincotta, who you’d think will get extensions…

Plus most MSD picks require 18month contracts… which would mean we’d have to delist 5 at the end of the year just to break even…
They were 2-3 weeks last week, so 1-2 this week I guess. This will be an auto-update from whoever does the AFL website.

Players would need to agree to go on the Inactive List, which Cuners & Marchbank at least would highly unlikely want to do so, given they're out of contract this year. They'll want to give themselves every opportunity for one more shot at it.

Fingers crossed cunners marchbank and Martin will be available very soon. With their inclusions we can make finals.
Love the positive thought process (maybe tongue in cheek) A bit lacking around here of late.

There are some negatives (learning opportunities), but this place has gone nuts.

Moderators correctly dismantled the posters who refused to accept negativity. Now the board is a far more realistic representation of strongly opinioned supporters who just want the Blues to improve.

Why is whenever I read a post about Marchbank, Cuningham and Martin together I think of Monty Python and Bring Out Your Dead, but instead "I'm not delisted yet"...?
I truly wish all 3 all the best (and it would be amazing if they were fit and firing at their peak). But it's like we're playing with two vacant list spots all the time...

Unless there is some type of miracle with all three in the back half of the year, then unfortunately Cunners and Marchy will be moved on, Martin who has another year to run should be put on the rookie list…

Austin hopefully can pull in a few more draft picks within the first couple of rounds, future picks and possibly a trade or two can help us with a decent draft hand in strengthening the areas of need…

It’s time to let injured and underperforming players go…

Absolutely agree, once these three get in the park I’ve no doubt they are going to make the naysayers eat their words, in one to two weeks time - I am very confident about this.

The club has made a huge investment in this talented trio and I believe the clubs patience will be be rewarded very shortly.

How good is it not to see Gov included in these conversations.(7-1 now, and building)

Nekminit, he asks to be traded.

Some suggesting guv only going at 75% to minimise risk of a hammy. Not a bad idea if true. He can be the ball distributor rather aggressively chasing.

I’m a little concerned he may want a trade to wce.

Agro I think you entered this conversation mystic optically and came out optimistically…
I pray you are on the money

at his age and his injury history (and income) it's ok with me if he goes. He turns 29 this year and has managed under 50 games.

I love his style but you can't build a team around him and right now he's one of our major avenues of ball movement

He is perfect age for us atm as we are in flag window over next few years. Need his experience and skills. So thats why I wouldnt want to lose him now.

Its just a mystery though as to how he will go in terms of injury over the next few years.
