CARLTON ruckman Tom De Koning has undergone treatment in hospital overnight, after being diagnosed with a collapsed lung following yesterday’s win over North Melbourne.
De Koning reported shortness of breath in the rooms following the game and was immediately sent to hospital for further assessment.
The issue was diagnosed on arrival, which saw him receive appropriate treatment and he has been recovering.

The 25-year-old also underwent scans today, after having his foot stood on during the game against the Kangaroos.
The scans confirmed a fractured foot, with De Koning to undergo surgery in order to enable him to recover fully.

At this stage, he will be sidelined for the remainder of the home-and-away season.
