As per the Bluemour File OP, this is a thread for discussing Carlton related rumours.
Rumour - Bluemour File rumours only - NO DISCUSSION

Rumour posters should post their rumours in both threads for those that like just to read rumours and for those that like to have get lost in their rumour files.

Remember ... #Bluemour

JL is seen as a good comments man already, snapped up by RSN for their Monday wrap + Fox Footy have him on AFL360 for their Wed slot with Eddie and on the call up register for Robbo when he’s out with whatever ailment knocks him about. Got turfed for his prev Fox Sat night gig when Best on Ground was born.

He’s done alright for himself, considering there wasn’t much to like as a footballer (as another club supporter) but he does lack a presence when lining up next to Brown, Buckley.

I do like Harf on the radio.
Used to love Harf Serious.
Lewis might work well on radio?
Haven't heard him.

From the Scats board - 'Have been told that Holmes looking to get out is more than just a rumour'

Now thats a name I'd be happy to hear us linked to.
Isn't Holmes (and Bruhn) Geelong's only midfielder that doesn't qualify for seniors meals at the Corio RSL?

I’m a country member so only get to 5 games per year. The last game I was at was the port game and the atmosphere was so much better then the games I attended earlier in the season. My question to those that go live every week is can you feel the atmosphere intensifying every week? If so surely this makes JSOS and Gov want to stay for less!
Atmosphere at the WCE game last week was flat except every time Charlie went near the ball.
In my view, the crowds are riding the roller coaster as hard as anytime in recent memory because the expectations are higher than they’ve been for some time.

That Cats poster has a decent track record with rumours. Not one to make stuff up.

Does anyone have insight on why his numbers have been pretty inconsistent this season?

Can't say I do tbh, Cats have just been very very inconsistent this year as a whole. According to their posters seems he took being left out of the GF side very personally after producing an elite year and being medically cleared to play. Contracted so I'd say whoever is after him is going to have an awful time getting him out of that joint if he really does want out.

My guess is that various Footy broadcasters will do market research on various (and broad) types of personalities on camera that will get people to watch. I think it says something about those who listen/watch their shows constantly. And for me, I often have to mute commentary during games because the way they often tell the commentary often increases my anxiety. I'm much calmer when watching a game live and without much commentary.
Recently tried live footy with classical music. Glorious! Majestic even.:D

Are there people who choose whether or not to watch a football game based on who's commentating?

Thought I heard Max on the radio joking about the noises on his departure along the lines of news to me & contracted.
Link was more in relation to TDK walking, wasn’t it?

Think we need to focus our limited resources on genuine needs at this stage.
Whilst Holmes might sound a tasty prospect, with Acres, Hollands, Cottrell, Binns already on the books and the Campo twins on the horizon, reckon we concentrate on dynamic medium sized forward/mids and a developing young KPD.

Would have to agree

Draft a young KPD

Entice a dynamic mid/3rd tall forward that drifts up to a stoppage

Watch the game for the game, the commentary team is a side-factor (if you dislike) but I can’t wait for the Ch7 team override button with Fox commentary when available. A bonus only.

I don’t get the fascination with GF entertainment either, the game is all I’m interested in for the “entertainment”.

Crowd noise and more stats on screen, that will do me. Find it pathetic how you see on screen pop ups of who the commentary team is more than they show you even the most basic of stats.

I'll mute the entire game if Brereton is on. Give me Huddo, Bennett, any of the ABC Radio callers.

If I'm very 50/50 on whether I can be bothered to watch a game or not, it can make the difference.

E.g. I'll probably put the Eagles/Roos game on for a bit today. If Kelli Underwood is commentating I am not likely to keep it on.
