Not my work. Wish I was that good haha.fu** that looks good and real...great job!
Gaff trade gets eagles enough currency for kelly. Maybe gaff for next years 1st with a 2nd rounder coming back. Next years first plus pick 14 ontraded for kelly and a geelong player or pick.
It's quite a complicated issue down here. You're right about the interest in footy, definitely a football state but that means everyone down here already has a team they've supported all their life. North and Hawthorn have done some great work here already and won a lot of fans but St Kilda, Richmond, Carlton and Collingwood have rich histories and strong followings here. I'm a fourth generation Carlton fan, I've supported the club for over 30 years and live in Launceston. I'm not sure a club in Hobart would interest me that much.
The population is more spread out than any other state. Hobart is the only capital city in Australia that has less than 50% of the state's population. Hobart has also always had a bit of a struggle making AFL games work. It would take a lot of effort to get Blundstone arena up to scratch as well as fixing the parking and transport issues. UTAS stadium has always done a much better job but how do you justify a city of 80,000 people getting a team before a 180,000 people capital city.
Then there's the issue of sponsorship. Not many businesses in Tassie big enough to sponsor an AFL team. Only one I can think of is federal group and they've been far more interested in saving money than spending it since the gambling restrictions came in in 2012. The feeling here is that the government would get publicly lynched if they sponsored another AFL team while leaving health and emergency services and the crime rate in such a poor state.
Don't believe everything you read on Twitter, it would be very hard to make an AFL team here succeed.
IIRC a number of years ago when also talk of tassie side that Mars where prepared to stump up a significant amountSponsorship does not have to come from a Tasmanian business. In fact I can't think of any club that is sponsored by a local business.
Daisy was pushed out by Newman and the return of Docherty. Selwood is a midfielder.Would make zero sense to chop Daisy so we could take Scott Selwood.
Goodhe is one of those guys that looks okay playing for richmond. if he went elsewhere would probably struggle, then get dropped, and invariably be delisted after a couple of years.
As for Butler. I have a feeling in my waters he will end up at GC.
But my understanding is Scott doesn’t want to have a crack at going to the Gold Coast.
“He is looking at a coaching career now. He would fit into any club with his values.”

Gold Coast looking for help getting Greenwood without giving up one of their top 20 picks. Possibly will be our future second to Adelaide in a roundabout 3 way trade.
Butler will be looked at if 1 of the 3 fall through. Not priority at this stage, things can change.
There may be another big fish up sos' sleeve that we all don't know about. Id love to drop the name but Id get shot at. He is an interstate player
More likely than not.So what do people think realistically are our chances of picking up both Martin and Papley?
Playing coach of Northern?Re: Scott Selwood
Geelong list boss Stephen Wells says delisting Scott Selwood ‘one of the toughest decisions’ he has made
Delisting Scott Selwood was ‘one of the toughest’ decisions Cats boss has ever madewww.foxsports.com.au
Next years first. If Papley and Martin go through would we even have anything to trade for any other player, especillay a big fish?
