Starting to wonder if we will off-load Fisher to a WA club to try get the pick Gold Coast want for Martin ?

This isn't a rumour I have heard, just speculation on my behalf.

Thank god you changed your avatar. Couldn’t stand Judd with his shit eating smirk.

Think Michael Jackson song........

Can you feel it (du du)
Can you feel it (du du)
CAN YOU FEEEEL IT!

Roll your hands around..
Now point finger in the air
And strike a pose!

I'm feeling good about impending trade news. :D:thumbsu: :thumbsu: :thumbsu: :carlton:

Day 4.

Hoping for a solid Harley Bennell rumour.

We are playing Trade Week Bingo

I've already ticked off Fyfe, Outrageous Pick Swap #1, Mention of Judd Trade, Mystery Player #1, Crouch, Eddie, Mystery Player #2, Mitch Thorp jokes, Outragous Pick Swap #2-7, Pavlich and Goddard.

I just need Harley Bennell rumour and I'll have a full card!

Only ones I can think of as possible delistings are:

Macreadie
Polson
Lang

In terms of guys maybe gone in a trade:

Phillips (perhaps as DFA)
Fisher (though I doubt it)
Casboult
Only Phillips out of this lot. Think the rest will stay. Phillips wants a longer term contract. He's not getting that from SOS atm...

There will be more list cuts before kids draft next month.
Few players will be worried.
Lets wait and see how many decent picks we have left after the trade period.

So far we've got Thomas, Fasolo, Lobbe, Garlett, Schumacher & Kerr off the senior list and LeBois off the rookie list. That's 6 senior spots and 1 rookie.

So far we're expecting Papley, Martin & Betts. I'd say there's a chance we end up with our 3rd pick being in the 4th/5th round, in which case it might be preferable to upgrade Gibbons to the senior list and only draft the 2 kids.

Chance Flip heads to *, probably fair to say if that happens we'll try to bring in Pittonet as his replacement.

Unless we get future picks involved and somehow end up with a few good picks left, or SOS does some more draft night pick trading, I don't see us drafting 5 or so players like we have in recent times. I'm thinking maybe 2, no more than 3.

Macreadie & Polson are contracted for next year.

Lang might be on thin ice, although his end of season surgery was described as being essential to get him right for 2020, so maybe he gets another year to try and prove himself.

Flip a chance to go to *, reckon that only happens if we're a chance for Pittonet as his replacement.

I'm not sure but unless Levi accepts his 1 year extension from us he may be an UFA. Even if he is contracted I can't see us getting much for him due to his age (and stigma around his name?)

Fisher trade BS has been quashed (cheers Matty411) by multiple ITKs.

If we do land all those targets, Lang and Polson will not play seniors for us barring many injuries. Best to move them on.

It's the Thailand time difference, accompanied by a couple of blue baggers too.

Maybe, most likely by Friday leaving a few days to have a crack at something big before deadline
Ha!

Is it just me or does gif guy look a bit like Simmo? :D

Barrett and Lloyd is a really weird pairing.

On one side of the desk you've got Damo who pretty much cuts off and shuts down people who call up with nigh-impossible trade scenarios (ie. could Collingwood trade Grundy for Pick 4, Cox for Pick 31, and then make an offer to GWS for Jeremy Cameron).

On the other side of the desk you've got Maffew openly advocating for Essendon, suggesting that Pick 10 should be involved in a trade for Fantasia, and that he hopes Dodoro is working on a big fish in the next 6 days.

Chemistry with these two is non-existent. Barrett it just reading from his runsheet and Lloyd is trying hard to follow all the words so he knows when he can suggest Essendon get overs.

Prediction for today;
ITK posters will allude to something very exciting being about to happen
People will get incredibly excited about the prospect
People will then get anxious and frustrated as nothing actually happens

West Coast didn’t give up a player or a pick inside the top 12 yet received one of the leagues top 20 players off a direct rival smack bang in their premiership window?
Good point. At second glance it doesn’t appear as though WC overpaid. They did well considering where they’re at in their premiership contention cycle.

Yes, but what happens AFTER that?

:)

If the Betts deal is done....why isn't it done?
What happens that holds things over, if the agreement is in place? Why not just lodge the deal with the AFL?

This happens quite often and I understand when some back-ended picks need to be shuffled but when it's a player for a pick - Why the hold-up?

Afl.com.au seeming to suggest the PSD is still a thing.

Greenwood for nothing?
The pre-season draft is rarely used these days, especially after the advent of unrestricted free agency, but a News Corp report suggests it could come into play as Adelaide and Gold Coast battle to broker a deal for Hugh Greenwood.

The report says a dispute over the value of Greenwood is holding up proceedings, with the Crows believing he is worth a second-round selection while the Suns are offering an early third-rounder.
