Brodie to Freo done, in a ridiculous deal the AFL should never have allowed.

Brodie, 19, 61 and 69 for a future second and future fourth.
Put simply, the Suns don't have the roster spots for their draft picks, they can't even keep all the players that were on the list from last season. They won't be using many picks this year even if they had them so they're loading up on next years picks as a result. Further, it's been said that this draft is a bit of a crapshoot given the lack of playing time for the kids. If ever there was a draft to bail out of it's this one.

In terms of fairness it looks bad, but they're trading picks they wouldn't have used or would have taken a relatively unknown quantity, more than most years.

Iirc the suns now have 3 or 4 2nd round picks next year and 2 firsts? They're loaded. The deals aren't as bad they seem on first glance.

which makes the concessions they received from the AFL all the more ludicrous

Going to be a challenge for Clubs wanting to extract OOC players to the Suns next year (King, Lukosious & Rankine) they may not have much interest in draft picks.

Cleary going with 6 + F3 for Cerra but I'm hoping we get something back for them even if its a fourth rounder or two. Wouldn't mind us upgrading our 2nd this year for that F3 but seems it'll just be a simple one.

Look forward to seeing Adam in Navy Blue + Young for that matter.

PLENTY of time to do something else.
